Stayed here for one week. Nice hotel, decent pool, comfortable rooms. Good value for cost. One tip: don't use the tour company in lobby to book taxi rides--they are way overpriced compared to what you can get in the street (the street taxis will probably rip you off too, but less so).

Ticks all the boxes

Safir at Dokki is located in a small square just across the Nile from the centre of Cairo, so quite near to major attractions but removed enough to get a descent sleep an be able to wander around away from main street traffic. This is my 4th stay in as many years and I have always found the staff friendly and helpful, and the hotel generally of the highest standard in all respects, particularly when compared to more expensive hotels across the river. They now have free wi-fi in guest rooms which is a bonus. No hesitation is recommending to other travellers.

Good for a business traveller for a few days Cairo

Pros: Staff are excellent.
Cons: The Internet in the room.
Location: USA , Middle East, Africa.
There was no wi-fi in the room. As I had only my iPad with me, I could not complete several business issues from my room. This was a disappointment I did not expect to find in the hotel. What Expedia stated at its website regarding the availability of a wi fi Internet in the rooms is not correct.
