Bad service

Pros: The room it was nice.
Location: Location by the Nile it is nice for summer not for winter.
Service in the restaurants of the Hotel slow the Casino terrible full of smoke and they allow a lot of students and they come in with shorts and sport track suit .

Nice place but busy area

The hotel room is good. Nice view. Clean room. Too pricy for old hotel. There is no alarm in the room, and no USB socket. Two things i hate about this hotel: -No gate man to carry the bags -Late in answering the phone and bring my Request.

unclean rooms

Pros: nobody like dirty rooms
Cons: i have nothing to say
Location: location is ok...it is nice to go for nile crause
verey bad ....verey unclean room..the staff do nathing...i made a complaint ... i cancelled my booking...never to go there again

Beste Lage in der Innenstadt

Pros: Die Aussicht vom Zimmer (21. Etage) aus (an Tagen mit wenig Smog bis zu den Pyramiden) und der Poolbereich.
Cons: Trotz gut isolierter Fenster sind die Zimmer nicht 100 % ruhig - kein Wunder in einer der wahrscheinlich lautesten Städte der Welt!
Location: Zentrale Lage in Kairo, u.a. sind das ägyptische Museum und der Cairo Tower zu Fuß erreichbar.
Das Hotel bietet ein elegantes Ambiente, komfortable Zimmer und einen wunderschönen Außenbereich mit Pool und Sitzgelegenheiten direkt am Nil - in dieser Form in Kairo kaum ein zweites Mal zu finden. Auch der Spa-Bereich (nicht selbst genutzt) macht einen sehr guten Eindruck. Die Mitarbeiter haben angenehme Umgangsformen, sind freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist so reichhaltig wie von einem Hotel dieser Klasse zu erwarten und kann, sofern ein Tisch frei ist, auf der Außenterrasse mit Nilblick eingenommen werden - herrlich! WLAN ist in den Zimmern und den anderen Bereichen ohne Zusatzkosten verfügbar, die Geschwindigkeit war ok.

The best view in Cairo

Love this hotel. I have visited Cairo many times and stayed in different 5 stars hotels, but this one in my opinion is the best among all. It is the only one which is directly facing the Nile, no need to cross a road. Very entertaining and live at night. Staying at the room balcony is so refreshing and nice. Restaurants and coffee shop are good. The bad thing is that we booked two Luxury bedrooms not Superior because it was mentioned in Expedia that Luxury rooms have full Nile view while Superior rooms have partial Nile view. What we have got is a room at the 10th floor with full view and a room in the 15th floor with a partial Nile view. When we complained about that they refused to change the room and told us that Expedia was wrong, since the difference between the Luxury and Superior is the floor level. That is still not Justifiable, since we have got one bedroom at a lower level (10th floor). Another bad thing about the hotel, is the concierge, he was not helpful at all/

Claims to be 5 star hotel but is not

Pros: Location is perfect.
Cons: The personnel need to be better trained and need to be more proffessional. They kept asking for ips when they didn't do anything to earn one.
Location: museums, pyramids, shopping
Bank fellow for exchanging money was not friendly, helpful or professional. Conceriege fellow does not look out for your best interest and will set you up on tours w/ people out to steal money. Do not do tours arranged by the hotel. The room was clean- it was not the one promised but it was clean. The cleaning staff were the best. Hotel food is super expensive. You'd be better off walking around the corner to one of the local restaurants. Get your on taxi too- not one throught the hotel or they will charge you more.

Mixed feelings

Overall pleasant stay, hotel very dated, old lobby and worn down rooms...nice gardens and hotel restaurants but the main let down is the customer service at reception, seems like they're not bothered..very expensive hotel for what it has to offer, definitely more 4 star than 5.
