“Hotel with a huge history”

The Windsor Cairo is a must stay for those that wish to have a good experience in Cairo. Yes, it is an old hotel, with a colourful history but is a fabulous place to stay. The staff are wonderful, friendly and very helpful. They make you feel very welcome. I spent many hours in the bar talking to staff and fellow travellers. Nobody is rushed and it makes for a wonderful evening. The dining room was just renovated whilst I was there and is a lovely place to eat. I would describe the Windsor Cairo as an oasis in a mad city. I returned two more times to the Windsor Cairo and staff were so happy to see me. The only complaint I had was the incredibly hard bed, but after a while that really didn't seem to matter. I will certainly return as the staff are all good friends now.
