Good hotel for the airport.

Pros: Excellent food at a reasonable price.
Cons: No
Easy to find, excellent room at rear of hotel with leisure facilities (no steam room or sauna). Need to take your car or hire a taxi to get to Calgary centre. Parking in Calgary very expensive. Good for one night stay.

Wouldn't stay there again

Room service said it would be 2 hours to have food delivered but 25 minutes if we went to get it ourselves. The shuttle never arrived at the airport. The pool was cloudy. Staff was nice though.

Worst Experience Ever

Cons: The owners should consider renovating the hotel. When travelling, the most important thing is a good night's sleep.
For some reason Calgary was a very busy city this week and choices for accomodations were extremely limited. We booked into the Clarion as a total last resort and it was a complete disaster. The hotel is very old but we have stayed in older hotels and were very comfortable. This one is not. The room was clean but that is where it ended. They have sleep number remotes to control the comfort level for the mattresses. They did not work!!!!! I can now say that I know what Goldilocks felt like in the cabin of the three bears, except we were unable to find a comfortable level for the beds. The noise level from outside was so very loud that I thought maybe the patio door was open, but it was not. So between uncomfortable beds and street noise sounding like you were sleeping outside we did not have a good night. The pop machine and the ice machine on our floor were also out of service. It gets even better..... I unfortunately forgot to unplug my cell phone charger when we left and later that day when we were 800kms away I called the hotel to ask if they had retrieved it. First I was asked to call back in an hour. I did so then was told that housekeeping was gone for the day and to call back in the morning. I called in the morning and the gentleman who answered the phone took my number and said he would call back. 4 hrs later we called back and yes they had located the charger and we made arrangements to have it mailed. We are still waiting for the call back with the tracking#.

Decent - room for improvement

Got in around 8pm. Ordered room service. For those with kids, there is a kids menu, just not in the room. Food was awesome. No clean towels at the pool. Went to front desk and they sent someone fairly quickly. Went to gives kids a bath, no plug for the tub. Called to ask for one, said they would send one up. Then called back to advise there are no plugs in the hotel. None of the rooms have them and I was the first person to EVER ask for one. Didn't think this was a huge expectation. My mistake.

Pros: Nice and quiet, clean
Cons: Inside d├ęcor needs to be updated.
Location: You need to drive to go places. Nothing in walking distance worth seeing
It was a last minute booking for the weekend and was the cheapest hotel available with a pool. It was only a 15 minute drive from downtown which made it nice and quiet. The hotel is quite old and should be re-vamped. We only stayed one night so I can't overly complain but I wouldn't stay for longer because it wasn't overly comfortable.

Pros: convenience to where we needed to be over the 2 days there
Cons: cleanliness and noise (someone could have told these noisy people to quiet down)
Location: Restaurants close enough. Was there to attend funeral only was not a site-seeing trip.
Hotel was average. Room just standard .. mildew smell in shower curtains. plug in bathroom did not work for the dryer supplied. Very noisy on first night with loud voices in the halls well into the night. Second night ordered steak sandwich from restaurant. Fries cold, steak almost unchewable and stuck on piece of toasted bread - no lettuce tomato, nothing! Second night hallways even noiser than the first! Not a lot of sleep and it's on airport approach.

Hot tub had 3/10 jets that worked, stained lobby furniture, average food but pricey, keys for rooms barely worked. Free shuttle to airport was good!

Good location

We were in town to see a show at the jubilee auditorium so the location was ideal. The room was nice but the shower was pathetic. Housekeeping forgot hand towels and wash clothes and we had to call twice before we finally got them.

The hotel was as expected and no more or less! The room was fine along with the staff. I would stay here again as you can expect no surprises.
