Overnight hotel catching a connecting flight

Cons: Direct line from airport for shuttle pickup. Not being put on hold for ten minutes and then being asked to wait while outside in the cold!
Good at arranging a taxi for an early morning flight, disappointing that the shuttle did not start early enough in the morning to catch. Also annoying when we phoned from the irport phone as to shuttle pick up we were offered about five opyions as to reservations and dinner info but no direct info for shuttle. After waiting on the airport phone outside in the cold for about ten minutes the operator immediately asked if we minded being on hold, after saying no and asking where the shuttle picked up passengers she begrudgingly said post 16, we told her we were waiting, she still wanted us to be on hold but since three people behind us also wanted to cal for shuttles we said send one and hung up. The option of shuttle in this age of automation would be nice.

Airport availablity

Pros: The hotel had dining facilities and we where able to leave our car there while away on vacation. The shuttle was a definite asset.
Location: All we wanted was close to the airport. Did nothing around the hotel
We choose the hotel for its location close to the airport. The ad said they had a shuttle and free parking. Unfortunately only half of that was true. They had a shuttle but the parking was $35.00 a week. I found this out when I called the hotel before we left. The shuttle even has a sign on it that says there is free parking. The hotel had everything we required for our stays. The room was clean and very quiet.

The hotel lobby and foyer is very welcoming but the room was very tired. Television system was very intuitive.

Old, in need of renovation.

Very old. Stayed in the old tower. Needs a renovation bad. Newer tower might be better? Carpets stained, rough shape. Wont stay there again.

Booked an overnight stay upon returning from a family vacation (2 adults and 2 children) It was very late in the evening/early morning and the staff could not find us a room. So at 2:00am, after 7 hours of flying we stood in the hotel lobby being offered either a king bed with no pullout, or a room that had cigarette aroma! The staff was struggling with the computer system, so I suggested that he manually book us a room and figure out paperwork in the morning and was told at that point that they did not have a room matching our booking and gave us the two options. We chose to call a cab and proceed to another hotel. . however as we were waiting for the cab, he somehow found a room that for some unknown reason, was not in their booking system. So out of fatigue and desperation we took the room, for which he had to let us in and couldn't give us a key. . .which didn't really matter because it was now 2:30am and we just wanted to go to sleep! They attempted compensation with a breakfast voucher, that we could not use as we were still sleeping when it ended! Terrible service that was not compensated to my satisfaction and I will not book in this hotel again.
