Typically I stay downtown, however my usual hotel was fully booked. I found this hotel with an internet hotel booking site. I have typically been satisfied with the Choice Hotel brands in the past so this gave me some confidence that this would be ok. I was generally satisfied with the facility and staff. It is worth mentioning that if you staying here without a car, be sure to give yourself plenty of time to get a taxi and get into downtown during rush hour. Also, this is not a particularly convenient location for restaurants, so make sure you plan for dinner. All in all this is a decent hotel for a decent value.

Good quality, stayed here for workPosted Oct 2, 2014
Comfortable room, nice beds with pillow selection (soft vs firm). The hotel doesn't have many frills, but it does offer a pleasant experience with all the essentials in place.

Standard three star hotel.Posted Sep 29, 2014
Pros: The fact that many restaurants were located within a reasonable distance.
Cons: nothing for the price of a room.
Location: This hotel was located in south side of downtown Calgary. A large mall was located within 5-7 minutes south, and downtown shopping area on north.
The only problems we had were that we were placed on the second floor next to the shaft elevator. It was very noisy and my spouse couldn't sleep. The elevator begun to operate very early in the morning and through late at night.

never againPosted Aug 28, 2014
Pros: the breakfast was great.......lots of variety to choose from.......
Cons: new pillows.......
Location: it was in a pretty seedy area of Calgary........there was a tailgate party just below our window which got quite noisy.....
when we got off the elevator on the 4th floor. it must have been 85 degrees in the hallway..........I told the front desk this and he said he would check it out........when we out a second time it was still just as hot.......I again told front desk staff and then I told him to move the front desk to the 4th floor........he did say someone was coming to check it out.......later that night when we returned it was a little cooler but still very warm....... the pillows on the bed were very uncomfortable.......well used.......and needing to be replaced..........the air conditioner in our room (404) was very noisy all night long.........ear plugs were needed to down out the noise from it and the tailgate party going on in the parking lot below our window........

Not that good.Posted Jul 31, 2014
Pros: Convenient to the places we wanted to visit. Friendly staff for the most part.
Cons: The breakfast.
Location: There was a nice mall down the road. Close to the main highway to the airport. Lots of restaurants to chose from.
We checked in and when we opened the door to our room we found the room still not cleaned. We called the front desk, and then we were asked to wait downstairs till the room was made ready. We said no, we wanted a new room. There was not enough towels provided. The complimentary breakfast was not very good. The fruit looked old, the juice wasn't cold. The hair dryer didn't work.

It's finePosted Jul 30, 2014 on Hotels.com
The only complaint I have is the amount of chlorine in the pool - it bleached out my favourite swim suit!!! Not happy about that, but otherwise the hotel was fine.
