Close to campusPosted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: It is close to campus.
Cons: Higher cleanliness standards.
Location: It is on campus which is convenient if you are doing business on campus. There is not much to do there in the evening.
I like the location of this hotel, but the housekeeping was not good. There was hair in my sink and on one of the shelves when I arrived. They did not thoroughly clean the room each day when I was out.

Stampede week - July 12Posted Jul 20, 2014
Pros: Staff, up todate technology and security, that it included breakfast.
It was extremely difficult to find an affordable hotel during stampede week on short notice. I usually do not stay anywhere else other than where I have a membership. I was extremely happy to find a room under $200.00 close to where I would be attending an event. The only thing I wasn't a fan of was all the $10.00 add ons such as parking.

Small but nicePosted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: Free breakfast
Cons: Room size
Location: Nothing near this hotel it is located right in the University campus.
The hotel room was very small and the ceiling and light fixture were dirty, but overall the hotel was fine for a short stay and would stay again.

Unique and interestingPosted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: Staff were very pleasant and helpful
Cons: Clarification regarding continental breakfast eligibility, parking included in rate would be nice.
Location: No shortage of dining available, both on and off campus. Grocery, clothing, liquor etc.
Staff were helpful and very personable when we needed info regarding directions to destinations and help with anything regarding check in and check out. The construction crew on site were very helpful and polite in finding Tim Horton's on campus. The room (we had a two bedroom apartment style that is used as a dorm off season) was clean and had a full fridge and microwave along with a coffee pot. Come with your own cutlery etch - coffee mugs are supplied and a spoon to stir but nothing else (which was problematic when we were told we weren't eligible for the continental breakfast [which can be purchased for approx. 12 dollars] and we had to figure out how to feed ourselves in the morning. Keeping in mind that it is a functioning dorm for students, there were a few places on the walls where posters had been and general wear on the counter and cabinet surfaces but the use of space was very good. Walls might be a little thin, doors in the hallways close heavily and can be disruptive if you're a light sleeper. I would definitely return if I could be guaranteed I was eligible for the breakfast as that was something I had planned for and had to adjust to (it wasn't very well labeled and we weren't the only ones confused). Close to public transport and shopping centers! Overall enjoyable stay.

A hotel which needs some improvementPosted Jul 16, 2014
1. The bistro in this hotel is the worst I have ever seen before. Their menu is too simple. It has only few choices. The service is not professional. I always need a long time to wait for ordering. 2. The washroom is too small. 3. The wireless is not useful.

Easy access to the LRT, friendly staff, scenic campus surroundings, overall a nice place to stay, not to far from downtown

If you wish to revisit your youthPosted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: Location on campus.
Cons: Better beds - odd that they invested money in upgrading the common galley kitchen cabinets, but not the bed. Nowhere to SIT in unit except desk chair.
Location: Right on campus at the University of Calgary. Very close to lots of services and short walk to C-Train.
Have stayed here before - what was a converted dorm, modernized nicely. This stay saw me in a two-bedroom (with separate lock offs), what would be a shared galley kitchen and very small bathroom. Bedroom itself was simply a dorm. Double bed cot on top of a dresser, tiny wardrobe (no closet in bedroom), small desk and tv with about 10 channels. Happily there was a/c. Would be good for families as there is a large common kitchen in the common area (outside unit). Got a decent price for Stampede (though take that for what it's worth).
