“Great hotel for the price”
It is not to often that I can stay in a hotel that has a more comfortable bed then mine at home. The artistic flare to the hotel was a nice change, yet not to overwhelming. Having the 42 inch plasma in the room without taking up the space was a good feature that other hotels should really look at copying. The 24 hr room service was a handy feature after a late nite out. My only complaint was that the water pressure on the 11th floor was not up to standard. All in all I would recomend this hotel and stay there again if I was in Calgary.
“Great downtown location”
It is clear this used to be a regular hotel that has been renovated and made into a boutique style hotel. not many details were overlooked. although we requested two queens, our first room had one king only but after a quick telephone call to the front desk, the staff brought up a new set of keys to a room on the same floor and moved our luggage to the next room. the location is perfect, within walking distance of all major downtown attractions, restaurants, bars, and nightclubs. the patio door was a bit drafty which resulted in the heater being consistently on, but that was solved by keeping the temperature higher so it was always on (did not dry out the room). beds were great and so was the TV (too bad they didnt have HD connections). the outdoor, year round pool was great...how often can you say you went swimming outside when it is -30 celcius... overall a great stay.
“LOVED IT”
Went to Calgary with a girlfriend and absolutely loved this hotel. Would stay here again anytime I was in Calgary!!
“Great place to stay for business travel”
Hotel Arts is close to down town Calgary and is a comfortable place to stay

“Well Worth the Expense”
I was just travelling to Calgary for the Stampede and picked this hotel because its close to the grounds. It blew me away with the comfort and cleanliness of the hotel and the service was amazing. I would definately go back!
“Quality for a great price”
We really enjoyed being walking distance from shopping and restaurants, the staff are very helpful, the hotel is beautifully renovated, the rooms are just a little small for my liking but not a huge deal.
“Different....Excellent”
I would say I'm more on the conservative side and typically wouldn't stay at a boutique hotel. However, I had to book last minute and the hotel I typically stay at in downtown Calgary was booked. My exprience at the Hotel Arts was excellent. Excellent service, neat atmostphere, cool decor, excellent resturants. Used the gym a couple of days as well...good quality equipment...NOTthe typicall cheap junk many hotels use. The only thing I would change about the layout of the room is putting a workstation in a different location. The plasma TV was directly above the desk meaning that having the TV on and working was almost impossbile. Not a huge deal. Hotel is only about a 10 minute walk from Stephen's Avenue (resturants, bars, shops).
“Impressive”
This is a lovely hotel with very professional, friendly staff and very modern décor throughout the hotel and the rooms. Even the elevators have character, and a groovy little blip-blip sound when you press the floor buttons. I stayed here twice in August and enjoyed both stays. Make sure you check out the exquisite glass work on the ceilings throughout the hallways. The Raw Bar is great for breakfasts although the service seemed slow. The location is handy and I found the parking reasonably priced. I was impressed with the room décor, noise was minimal but you can hear your neighboring room doors closing with a thump and voices coming from the hallways. Overall I was very impressed.
