Worst experience ever.

Posted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: We did not like this hotel.
Cons: Everything, from customer service to pillows. etc.
Location: Perfect location.
Despite paying in advance for our hotel stay, it was overbooked when we arrived so we had to stay the first night in another Sandman hotel, very FAR from our desired downtown location. Worst experience ever. Beds and pillows very uncomfortable and we had to request towels every single day. Dirty coffee stirring straws on the coffee tray.

Does promise but short on delivery

Posted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: Beds fine and main room fine. Some staff tried hard to be helpful
Cons: Overseeing of staff standards
hotel on train route and close to town amenities, but let down first by very small bathrooms, no porter help with large bags and too many staff under trained in Restaurants and Bars. Staff tried but need more management input to lift standard.

Downtown across from LRT

Posted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: Very close to everything downtown. We walked everywhere and took LRT once. Very handy, right across the street. Loved the bed!
Cons: Maybe get quieter air conditioning units and repair the old entrance doors into the rooms.
Location: Directly across from the LRT, so very handy if you need to go somewhere out of walking distance. Very close to multiple restaurants and shopping.
Looks like newly renovated rooms, too bad the doors weren't renovated as well. Old and scratched up. The bed was very comfortable, but the air conditioning kept coming on every few minutes and was quite noisy. Also, the LRT runs every few minutes and you can hear that too.

Will return next time in town

Posted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: Location, friendly staff and very comfy bed!
Location: Right along C-train line with it being steps away from a station. Easy access to everything downtown.
Excellent stay with extremely helpful staff. My own critique is the bathroom walls and ceiling showed it age and needed some touch ups with paint. And door had some trouble with the scan & I wasn't the only one. Comfy bed & with pleasing d├ęcor. Very happy with my pleasant stay with excellent central location.

Good Basic Accommodation

Posted Jul 9, 2014
Pros: convenience to downtown offices
Cons: Bathrooms could be updated.
Location: Convenience to most downtown offices and on the C-train.
Rooms a little small, but good basic hotel accommodation, getting a little dated. Clean rooms and good desk space.

Only rooms we could get downtown!

Posted Jul 8, 2014
Pros: Downtown - cheap.
Cons: The room needs paints, repairs and updating.
Location: Sultan's Tent was amazing. Close to the city river park.
The staff were friendly enough. Moxie was good. The lobby was nice but the room really needs some upkeep. Also the business centre charges a fee. If you need a cheap place to stay it will do!

Good location, but not at good conditions.

The building is old. The parking is too tight. The elevator is not at good conditions.

It was disappointing.

Posted Jun 20, 2014
Pros: Restaurant
Very plain room at the hotel. Definitely not worth the price I paid to stay there. I couldn't get the shower to work. Cold tap was impossible to turn on. A positive aspect about the stay was the restaurant attached. Good food and good service.

Nice hotel in the centre of Calgary

Room's smaller than expected, and had to pay for parking. But good condition in general and will go again
