“Fantastic!”

I read some reports on this hotel, but after attending and spending a night there, I found it first class. Everything from the furnishings to the cleanliness was first rate. The one thing that I did find annoying was the location of the fridge and the coffee maker. Its a very minor issue, but I sure wish that the pantry doors that contain the items would slide in giving adequate room to move freely between the bed and that. The location is amazing. All the shopping that you could ever hope for is right there including a Costco, Walmart, IKEA and the list goes on. Large shopping malls are just minutes drive away (10 to 15 minutes tops) I recommend this hotel., Also note that the pool and the Fitness center are still being constructed. The Greeter/Teller was unable to provide a finish date for these amenities.

“Brand new Hotel”

The hotel and staff were great, as the hotel was new there were some construction going on, I can not review the facilities as there were none open... Overall, very clean hotel, when the hotel is finished it will be one of the best in Calgary.

“Clean and comfortable”

I'll most likely stay here again next time I'm in Calgary. Clean and modern with friendly service. Great location especially if you plan on shopping.

This hotel was brand new. Needless to say, it was spotless, modern decor was a bonus. Had Moxies and Denny's for room service. Location is great. Will definitely go back!

“A Great Place to Stay!”

For those that like a soft to firm bed - we found these beds to be quite hard and uncomfortable. That was the ONLY issue of the comfort part. Otherwise this hotel is TOTALLY awesome to stay in. They are really close to shopping within walking distance as well. 2 different restaurants attached as well.

“Sandman Calgary South: Good by me!”

Spent 3 nights on business. Hotel is new(er) and clean. Good ammenties nearby with good access to South Calgary. Will stay again.

“Decent Place”

This is a new hotel with modern decor. Don't be put off with the construction in front of the building.

“A bit tired, good hotel needs some upgrades.”

Rooms had a slight, strange, undefined odour. All carpeting needs to be replaced, especially the hallways. Maids made the bed, replaced towels & toiletries, but did little else. Water stains remained on desk 5 days. Recycle bin not emptied in 4 days. etc. Handicapped room had no cabinet or shelf for personal toiletry items. We moved these items about often - shower seat, toilet cover, toilet back - depending upon which spot was the best. Shower curtain fell down twice. Maid said she would have it fixed properly. She didn't. Staff all very friendly! Moxie's & Denney's on each end of building. Both friendly & good service. Hotel well situated to all services & freeways.

“Great Stay!”

We recently stayed at the Sandman for a hockey tournament. We were delighted with everything about the hotel. It was clean, the staff were friendly and with a hockey team its always easy to get a bad name. But we had no issues whatsoever with this hotel. We would definitly stay there again.
