Great Overnight Stop

Posted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: Helpful staff
Cons: Just a little tired - pool needs a revamp.
Location: Downtown Calgary only a short cab drive away - lovely town centre.
Close to airport - free shuttle bus essential. Kids loved the pool with 2 big water slides. Breakfast downstairs was great with good service - hotel helped holding luggage and allowed us back into pool later on the day we were due to check out.

Great for families with small kids

Posted Aug 17, 2014
We stayed at this hotel weekend of august 9-10, 2014. Our kids are aged 3 & 6. The pool was the best part. Although my son (6) was a little scared of the slides, he enjoyed the bigger pool. And my little girl loved the warm toddler pool. Hubby and I loved it too as we the hot tub was too hot for her and the other pool was cold (not really, but for us it was). They provide life vests and towels also. It was great! The room was comfortable but tight. Especially the bathroom was very small. But the beds and pillows were wonderful. We would stay again.

Great Pool for adults, kids and toddlers

Posted Aug 17, 2014
We booked this hotel because of the pool. 2 giant slides and a kiddie pool as well as a huge hot tub. Liked the buffet restaraunt for breakfast which included a pancake bar. Even though we ordered off the menu it was great for the kids. Great hotel, clean and close to the zoo. This was our 3rd time staying here :)

Nice Hotel

Posted Aug 16, 2014
Pros: The rooms were cozy and well maintained. The water slides and pool are a lot if fun.
Cons: It would be great if there were fridges and microwaves in the rooms. Also if the pool area had more natural light.
Very clean hotel; don't let the exterior fool you. It is very modern and update throughout the hotel. The rooms are clean and updated with super comfy beds. The bathroom only had a shower, which made it a little more difficult with a infant. The pool is a lot of fun, the kids really enjoyed the 2 water slides and the baby enjoyed the tot pool. It is a little dark in the pool area at night. Overall we would stay there here again.

Extreme circumstance

Posted Aug 12, 2014
Pros: Newly renovated.
Cons: Inform us about the situation of the room beforehand prior to giving us the key. Give us the option to switch rooms.
Location: Airport
Room 238. Right beside the swimming pool... the window is facing the swimming pool. Therefore, super noisy, wall shakes every time the door slams (couple times a min). No privacy (closed blinds the whole time). Poorly designed room location. Avoid this room. Cannot comment on any other rooms.

Very tiny and uncomfortable room.

Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Location near the airport, free wi-fi and free parking.
Cons: Lower the price for the rooms. Since they can't expand the rooms the least they could do is compare it to a comparable size room elsewhere.
Location: Airport is nearby. Downtown Calgary is a 20 minute drive away by car. Many fast food establishments nearby.
Pretty generic building and room. Hotel room consisted of 2 queen beds, a couple of pieces of furniture (not very functional either) all crammed into one area. Lobby bar and socialization area shuts down at 11 pm leaving the impression that one has to retreat to one's tiny room. Staff wasn't very engaging either. Hotel has an indoor water slide, 3 hot tubs and a sauna which would seem nice but, unfortuantely, it is crowded and not very relaxing. The room's closet was taken over with a giant safe. No where to locate one's luggage. Also, get rid of the minibar and leave the refrigerator open for guests to store their water, baby formula, whatever...

Great staff. Comfortable room. Pool is too cold!

Nice to find a hotel that allows big families. We have three children and most hotels are only "friendly" to families with two. This hotel let us book one room to accommodate everyone.

Overall great!

Good location, sound proof despite being near a flight path, welcoming staff, classy lobby and restaurants, water slides a hit with the kids.

Watch your bill / Forgetful service

Posted Aug 4, 2014
- broken sliding shower door in washroom made having a shower in very small bathroom a challenge. - staff took 50 mins to being juice and a drink to my room. - hotel tried roping me off on ohone charges. - requested restocking of bar fridge to maid/room service which was never done even after I was told it would be done. -terrible service !!!
