Good space in roomsPosted Jan 16, 2015
Pros: Space in rooms, internet access.
Cons: Condition air faulty. Do not touch anything in minibar: extremely expensive!! Breakfast until 10am on weekends could be extended to 11am.
Good location, near bars, restaurants and local attractions. Good space in rooms and bath rooms. Poor conditioned air condition. Water in small outdoor pool is cold. Just a few chairs for tanning! I think too expensive for what you receive.

Not a great business travel experiencePosted Jun 14, 2014 on Hotels.com
Stayed two nights for a business trip. While clearly an establishment among Cali business hotels, I found it lacking in several ways. The rooms are quite dated and could use sprucing up. Also, I sent several dress shirts to be laundered and one was returned with holes ripped in both sleeves. I didn't notice until the next hotel, or I would have insisted on a refund of laundry fees. The check-out process for me and my colleagues was appalling. It was unnecessarily long; all told, I waited 30 minutes behind just two people. Local businessmen were aggressively cutting the line and staff ignored it. There was a huge amount of paperwork, not to mention two separate credit transactions (a separate one for IVA...really?). Bottom line: if the Intercontinental is available at the same rate, you'd do better there.

I thought it was a really nice hotel ...what makes the hotel even better are the people working there.

My second timePosted Sep 7, 2013
Pros: I like its looks.
Cons: The food at the restaurant.
Location: Great! There's a very nice Japanese restaurant named Welcome in the street behind it. Unmissable!
This was my second time there and it looked nicer. I do enjoy its 50's style. The staff is always there to help you: very nice and efficient.

Just okayPosted Sep 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
The Hotel Dann Carlton Cali is just okay. The service level was very good, the room service food was reasonable, but... The breakfast buffet options were limited and the decor is dated. Things were clean, but appeared run-down. Slow elevators.

Decent HotelPosted Aug 23, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel was a little overpriced for what we got, but the quality was decent and the location is perfect.
OVERPRICED and UNIMPRESSIVEPosted Jun 23, 2013
Swimming pool was under repairs, I was unaware of it, not appearing in my Expedia reservation and no compensation was offered or granted. Hidden daily fees will be charged at check out, that are not included in the reservation. Plus, ridiculous prices of mini bar, 7X what it costs at the corner store. The staff can be slightly arrogant, THIS IS NOT COLOMBIA! Ceiling cracked in the bath room, water accumulating around the bath tub granite when I take a shower, they must bring a shop-vac everytime they clean the room, how else would they clean that? Better take just a bath. Also, the photos of the room I reserved online didn't match the one I was given (except for the bathroom, granite it was). The room walls were painted plain white and even have some paint pealing off!!! Plus, listening to the work done on the swimming pool two floors below at 7h30 AM, nice wake-up call. Noisy A/C from the 80's. Even my local friends agree, very popular hotel in El Penon, overrated, the rooms don't reflect the outside and reception. Overrated, Overpriced, there's so much better in El Penon or Centenario, Normandia, Granada even San Antonio. I was very dissapointed.
