“There must be better options in the area”
This place was very tough to find -- we circled the area for an hour, asking folks within 100 meters for help, and no one could help us until a friendly local got in his car and led us to the hotel. Parking is on the street -- there are only 2 spots reserved for the hotel, and as parking is at a premium, cars were often double parked (blocking us in). Hotel staff very nice but the hotel itself was mediocre -- I think you would be able to do better elsewhere -- I can't recommend Hotel Gangi.
“ROOM AND HOTEL”
we like this hotel. the room was small but clean ant nice. the dining room was wonderful.
“fast refund when a/c didn't work on a hot day”
We arrived at the Gangi on a 95 degree day to find out that their a/c wasn't working. They quickly refunded our cost and we drove on (to another city). They were very pleasant about it. We did get to see the room - small and dark, but the hotel is very inexpensive. Warning: Garmin has trouble finding this street name - if you go print out a good GoogleMaps of the address. The parallel street is easy to find on Garmin.
“Stay away from the dungeon-style French rooms”
The room was so small that if you used the luggage rack you couldn't get to the bed. No space to hang up cloths beyond a couple of shirts. Bathroom is minuscule. The shower stall provides so elbow room and leaks copiously. Furniture is tired. TV was not operational. Parking limited. Breakfast minimalist.
