“It`s always about location, but service was also great”
Myriam and her sons run a lovely bed and breakfast-style hotel in the medieval town of Bayeux, Normandy. They were welcoming and very helpful.
The hotel is two blocks from the fabulous Bayeux Tapestry and another two blocks to the wonderful Notre Dame Cathedral. It`s a slightly longer walk to the Battlefields museum. There are numerous restaurants and bars within a five-minute walk.
The hotel buildings date from the 14th century, so things are a little tired looking. It`s a work in progress. The room itself was lovely.
My only suggestion is to vary the breakfast. We stayed three nights, and it was always the same: a basket of bread and a croissant with your choice of hot beverage. Still, we`re talking French bread . . . :)
Bayeux is an easy day trip by car to Mont St. Michel and to the D-Day Landing beaches and museums.
Merci, Myriam and Pierre!
