“Very happy!”

This hotel was clean, quiet and the staff spoke English. We had no problems finding it and there is ample parking. The location was perfect for visiting the Dday beaches. Skip dinner at the restaurant and walk to town instead.

“Well placed, excellent cleanliness and very friendly staff”

The hotel does what it says on the tin. It is a no frills hotel, spotlessly clean and ideally situated for Bayeux. For example, the cathedral is only a 10 minute walk away (and that's going slowly). The rooms are small but extremely clean and well presented. The sounding proofing seemed very effective as well. We had a large family with teenagers next to us and didn't hear a thing. We had a triple room and our son, 14 years old was able to sleep quite happily on the camper bed provided. It had a good mattress. The downsides - there are not many. I have in my business career spent many nights in five star hotels all around the UK and for example, the shower in the Campanile is better than most I have come across. But getting back to the downsides, the rooms are small so if you are a big family it may not be appropriate and you have to pay extra for the breakfast. It cost us approximately 9 pounds each for breakfast per day. But the upside is that it is a cold buffet and you help yourself, again and again, and again - if you so wish! Don't expect the London Hilton and you won't be disappointed. The staff are very friendly and helpful. And of course Bayeux is beautiful - almost like a mini York.

“Great value in Bayeux”

We had a pleasant stay and enjoyed the location and service at the hotel. Nice spot to park a car, close to downtown, within walking distance.

“Great Value”

The hotel was clean and the rooms were larger than others that we stayed in around France. The restaurant was good and the service was great. Everyone spoke English and we had no problems asking questions or ordering our food. The trundle bed was a bit of a surprise but it was fine for my son. We would recommend this hotel and we would stay here again. Great value for the money. The only complaint that we had from our entire stay was - the taxis don't run on Sundays. This wasn't the hotels fault, they did arrange transportation for us back to the train station. We were happy. The town of Bayeux was beautiful and we had a great time.

“Clean, efficient and comfortable”

This is not a luxury-class hotel, but is everything you'd want for a short break in Bayeux. At a pinch you could walk to all the historical attractions, but there is plenty of parking - mostly with a small fee - in the town. It was very good for its star-rating: it had the air of a motel, but it was quiet and comfortable, and in very good modern condition. There is a restaurant on site, but we only had breakfast there: child and baby friendly, if a touch expensive. we wopuld use the Campanile again, and would recommend it to others.

“Will definitely return !!”

Clean and comfortable room with everything we needed - hospitality tray, TV, free Wifi, nice comfy bed, super powerful shower and the adjoining restaurant served really nice food. We would recommend the breakfast. Staff very friendly but not at all intrusive.
