Fantastic hotel, fantastic manager

Posted Jul 23, 2014
Clean, close to everything in Bayeux and the most courteous and kind manager, Jean Michel, that I've meet in my 3 trips to France. I will definitely return to this hotel and in large part because of Jean Miichel

Well priced hotel in a good location

Posted Jul 17, 2014
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It had everything we needed. We appreciated that the reception desk spoke English. My only negative comment is that there wasn't a nice machine and breakfast was a but too expensive. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay and would come back again.

Convenient hotel for Normandy Tours

Posted Jun 27, 2014
Hotel staff was great! I had problem with the air conditioning (as a window was left open), and even though it was very busy at the restaurant which adjoins the front desk, he came quickly to the room right away to assist. The staff try to please both in hotel & restaurant. Food at onsite restaurant was also very good and convenient. From hotel, it was 13 min walk to meeting place Place du Quebec for Normandy Tours. Rooms were very quiet as well - heard nothing through the walls from the neighbours.

Nice hotel on the edge of town.

Posted Apr 25, 2014
Pros: Free parking at your door. Comfortable, clean, fair sized room.
Cons: Public spaces are a little weather-worn but no worse than many private houses.
Location: I'm not a "tapestry" guy but the Bayeux tapestry is terrific history book and the museum that houses it is certainly worthwhile.
I spent two nights here with my grandson. To a North American traveller, this hotel had much more of a "motel" feel than the typical European hotel. Free parking, spacious lawns and rooms that open directly to the outside. It is a 20-30 minute walk to downtown although there is a large free parking lot near the town centre that we used to shorten the time

Close to bayeux

Posted Apr 25, 2014
Pros: Its proximity to Bayeux and easy access to other attractions in the area.
Cons: There is no bar - you can only get a drink with a meal, somewhat dusappointing when you've just driven a long way and could do with a cool beer!
Location: Excellent access to the surrounding area - Landing Beaches, etc.
This is a typical Campanile, so I knew what to expect.

Excellent Stay

This is a well run friendly hotel in a perfect location - 10 mins walk from centre of town and 10 mins from British War Cemetery. Good breakfast, clean rooms. Would definitely stay again on return to Normandie.
