Not bad, not great

The hotel is okay. Excellent service and very friendly. Rooms are small. We had a bigger (and more expensive) room which we don't think worth your dollars. Smelly bathroom for unknown reason. Has something to do with the water or waterpipes. Location is very good. 5-7 mins walk from nice restaurants alley. 10 mins from port.

The room was very clean , as was the bathroom. The bed was not very comfortable. The owner and his wife were very friendly and there was a good atmosphere in the hotel.

Not ideal

Room very small, bathroom like that of a ship cabin, very cramped. Bed was sagging. OK as a place for a single person to stay for one night, but not for a couple.

Best location in town

An excellent hotel for the price. Our room was clean and tidy but the walls are paper thin and you can hear what's going on around the building at all hours. The hallways are very French with pictures and other decorations on the walls. Free wifi is included. The manager speaks good English and is very helpful. The location couldn 't be better to see the attractions of the City. Only blocks from the Abbey and St. Pierre. There is a Monoprix within 2 blocks which has a great selection of groceries.

Great location, nice people

Very central location within walking distance of everything. The toilet started leaking the next morning which rather spoilt it. The concertina folding door to the ensuite is also not suitable as sound and light leak into the room.

Close to town centre

Just what we needed for an overnight stay. Clean warm bed. You can park right outside overnight for free although there are not a lot of spaces. There is a carpark nearby too. The plumbing is a little old and noisy. The chap on reception was very friendly. This was our third stay there.

We loved staying here - the location was very convenient and close to the center of town. The couple that owns this hotel was extremely friendly and helpful, our room was clean and comfortable, and the price was reasonable. All in all, a great stay.

Good value for money

The young lady in charge of the hotel was very friendly and helpful. She does room service till 10 pm, and prepares a pleasant breakfast. The price of the rooms is very good value, and the hotel is located very centrally with both the main shopping street and restaurants and tourist attractions within easy walking distance. There are only a couple of negatives. the hotel starts on the floor one up from street level, and there is no lift, so if you have problems with stairs, it may be a problem. The hotel does provide wifi but it is on the first floor, and it did not extend to my room on the third floor, so if wifi is vital, make sure you are located in a room that can get it. To be fair to the lady, she did offer to move me when we found I could not get wifi in my room. The rooms also do not have any drinks or kettles, but asking for a kettle got me one right away (I like a before bed hot drink). All in all a good hotel and I would reccomend it, especially if on a budget.
