“Truly Impressed”

I tavel alot, I've stayed in alot of hotels and I must say this by far was one of the most pleasant stays. Not only was the town enchanting but this hotel was above and beyond all others. The hotel seemed to be family owned and operated and the staff truly seemed to care about its guests. They were so helpful. The rooms were beautiful, bigger than normal for europe and it was just absolutely charming. I highly recommend this hotel!!

“A new favorite place”

Trouville is a perfect destination for those who prefer faded elegance to glitzy glamour, old-fashioned gentility to contemporary trendiness. And the Hotel Fer de Cheval is a perfect place to stay if you prefer tiny winding streets, window views of lovely old buildings, and raucous seagull sounds from the nearby beach! The hotel is superby cared for as are its guests, and the breakfast is a nice option.

“A good place to stay”

Located in town, close to the water front, hotel was fine for us. We stayed one night, had a very good breakfast. Room was clean and comfortable, although on the small side. Staff was friendly, and helpful. After staying at a 4 star hotel in Paris this was a pleasant and cost effective place to stay. The wireless internet connection worked better than 4 star place, too.

“Small room but great location”

We stayed six nights and the room was rather small for two adults for that long, but the staff were friendly and patient with novice French speakers, served the most delightful breakfasts, and were entirely unobtrusive during our stay. Everything was organised both on arrival and at departure. Just outside the door are boutiques, restaurants and, a short stroll away, the beach and the quay. Great value rates, too!

“Expensive breakfast”

Generally very good value for money. There's no parking but it's free in the street from November to March, including the Casino car park. The breakfast is poor value for money but there's a Monoprix across the road so best buy croissants and orange juice there.

“Nice location, clean and nice hotel, BUT ...”

the main desk lady was of no help when we tried to get any type of information. With "translation book" in hand we had hoped to try ... but her hand went up and all she said was "no English!" The place was neat & clean, smelled a little like a barn due to their carpeting. Expedia is the best!
