“Not classic French but compact and comfortable”

I really didn't know what to expect having read reviews, but they were clearly by people who expect a lot more and a sumptuous hotel, it is not. It is very, very good value for money. More convenience than an experience but the beds were comfy which is the main thing. We were three lads on a tour using it as a base and it rose to the occasion brilliantly. So much so, I dont usually write reviews. I expect things to be good! We even comented where other Premier Classe in Europe are as I'd definately use one again. There was a bit of a problem booking in after hours but luckily the concierge was nearby.

“spartan but has eveything we need”

All we wanted was a clean room with a comfortable bed and a hot shower. This place met our expectations. Also had WiFi and A/C. Was a few blocks from town and easy walking . Would stay again.

“EXCELLENT VALUE FOR THE MONEY”

Being a D-Day Tour Guide I have stayedin many Hotels in the area, mostly at the "Campanile" which is in the same position as the "Premiere Classe Bayeux" This is the first time at this hotel and I found it Basic it just has the twin beds with a bunk over, a toilet and shower cubicle air conditioning, there is no drink making facilities but there are plenty of electric sockets so take your own kettle! it is however Excellent value it is similar to the "Etap" hotels but unlike the Etap Bayeux it is within easy walking distance to the city centre and the bars and retaurants of Bayeux. this is important as the hotel does not have a restaurant or bar of its own. Bayeux is in a central position of the Normandy invasion perfect if you are visiting the D-Day Landing Beaches. I will certainly use this hotel again

“A good value hotel”

I was a little concerned about what I would find with the low price on this hotel. However, we were pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and sufficient for our needs. No frills, but a good value at a good price.

“Good value for money”

Although the description says the hotel is only 2 blocks or so from the train station, that is technically true, but it is much longer to walk there, as you cannot cross the tracks and go in a straight line. The hotel was similar to a Motel 8 in the US, but was clean and the breakfast was a good deal for the cost. We were very satisfied for the cost. Affordable, and easy to walk to the center of town, so the location was good.

“Good hotel for the price”

Not a bad place for the price. The room was small and the shower reminded me of the showers in a hostel, but, you get what you pay for. The walk into town was short, roughly ten minutes past pastures and flower beds. I was able to walk to the train station also. There was AC and an elevator in the hotel which is rare for small town in Europe. O

“Relaxing stay”

A very relaxing hotel. Very quiet. Not too far from the train station and not too far from the center of town (if you don't mind a bit of a walk) I would have liked a coffee maker in the room, but the breakfast was nice. Well worth the money.

“Good, basic place to sleep”

As with all Premiere Classe hotels, PC Bayeuz was simple, very clean and inexpensive. Great if you need a place to sleep after being a tourist all day. Close to the city center (5 minute drive). Hotel staff could have been a little nicer though. WIll visit again.

“Clean and Cheap”

I was looking for a cheap, clean place to crash for the night & this hotel met those criteria. That the lady at the front desk spoke English well enough to get me checked in was just a bonus. They offered a 15% off voucher for dinner at the restaurant in the hotel across the street. In case you are wondering what a "triple" means, it is a double bed with a bunk across the top, so be sure your third person can climb!

“Not the best but great for a budget”

I have to admit first of all that the previous hotel I'd stayed at in the Netherlands the night before really spoiled my view of any future hotel! If you're driving to this hotel, don't trust Google maps. We followed the directions on Google Maps and ended up driving around a tiny little French village called Somerville for about 20 minutes trying to find the hotel, before I finally gave in and switched my iPhone data roaming on to access the hotel's website and try to find a map. Head for the D-Day museum, the hotel is right next to the major roundabout just before that museum. The beds were very comfortable and I slept well. The hotel itself is only a short walk from the old city. We arrived just before 9pm and the reception staff were about to head home but they were very nice to us and I'm grateful they waited right up until the 9pm cut off point - some other places would have been deserted at 10 to. The toilet / bathroom was tiny - I'm a big guy so I felt really cramped, but even my friend who is less than half my size felt that they were pretty small. However, they were clean and working so I can't complain too much! Given the very reasonable price we paid and the fact that all we needed was a place to sleep and keep our baggage while we explored the town, this hotel was ideal. The rooms are probably a bit too small to spend any prolonged period of time in, but then who would want to? Bayeux is an amazing place and there's so much to see!!
