Very pleasant hotelPosted Aug 17, 2014
Pros: Refurbished to good standard and enjoyed pool although did not book specifically to have that facility
Cons: Bar area seemed quite small - not sure how that could be improved though!
Location: Easy location near to Cambridge but was expecting more road noise but actually ok.
Friendly, helpful staff with good service and good room - overall fine experience.

Booked room onlyPosted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Quiet location, friendly staff
Cons: sensible pricing.... dinner menu is very expensive & not that appealing!
Booked room only but stayed to breakfast & it cost a fortune! The previous night we stayed in a nicer hotel & paid £10 for a very nice continental breakfast & then we stayed here & were charged almost £40 for a not very special full english! Rooms ok, nothing special, quiet location.

Pros: Lovely rooms set in the converted barns. Wasnt expecting too much from a standard room but was pleasantly suprised. Large room, oak beams. Lovely!

Great stop-overPosted Jun 3, 2013
Pros: Accommodation and facilities were excellent
LOvely accommodation and facilities; did not eat there as attending a wedding etc. Only mildly adverse comment relates to a receptionist who was possibly having a bad day or in the wrong job. the others were just fine. Would certainly recommend it.

Average for business usePosted Oct 26, 2007
Reasonable quality for business use single night. Rooms could do with updating. Restaurant menu looks good, but food generally bland. Very bad traffic congestion getting out on a morning. Generally too far out of Cambridge to do anything than stay in. Wouldn't stay here on pleasure.

a surprising mix of old an newPosted Sep 21, 2007
we had a four poster bed, enjoyed a meal in the old part of the building and also enjoyed a swim and dip in the jacuzzi in the new outbuildings. a great stay.
