I need to go to Cambridge periodically to see my son at University and the hotels can be very pricey. This was an experiment. It is a significant train ride from Ely or Cambridge but a very special and relaxing haven. You feel very rural and quiet vibes here, yet landlady has laid on plenty of extras such as fridge, climate control, cafetierre, iPad, and just a very homey and welcoming space. I want to go back - a real bargain compared to Cambridge hotel rates and because I live in London, I loved the rural setting. Super close to Littleport train station.

We stayed for two nights and found the facilities to be top quality. Room was spacious, the bed was huge and very comfortable. The bathroom was spotless. Superb breakfasts are served in a very stylish, large, open plan living area with 3 sets of bi-fold doors opening onto a patio area and garden. Our breakfasts were exellent and it was fun to chat with our hosts and other guests in a wonderful setting. Nicky and Stuart are happy to hand over their property to hen nights, wedding and family gatherings, brilliant idea. They are engaging hosts, are very friendly and made us feel very welcome.

"Excellent B&B in a lovely pub alongside the river."
There are 3 bedrooms (2 doubles and 1 single) on the first floor of this pub/restaurant. My wife and I stayed here for one night whilst visiting Ely Cathedral for a concert. Journey time to the cathedral by car was only 10 minutes.
Our room was on the small side, but the furnishings, cleanliness and overall quality of fittings and facilities ensured a very comfortable stay.
All the staff were very friendly, attentive and made us feel most welcome. The breakfast and lunch was of a high standard and very well presented..
Drinkers should appreciate the range of real ales and ciders.
Our room was above the bar but we heard no sounds from below!

This is an amazing place to stay! The rooms are spacious and comfortable, fluffy towels and very good breakfast. And the owners are extremely nice and chatty.
It's also quite easy to get to, just a short drive from the A1.
