“Very impressed. Would definitley go back!”

I have stayed in a few Holiday Inn Expresses and they have been fine but this one was definitely the best so far. The hotel is spotlessly clean, in a great location for Cambridge and its surrounding areas and we found the staff absolutley fantastic. They were extremely friendly and helpful and nothing was a problem. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would use it again myself. The only problem we encountered was that there was a problem with the air conditioning so the rooms were extremely hot. I believe the engineer had been called out but as it was bank holiday weekend, was not arriving until we had left. But that was just one of those things and it did not spoil our stay in any way. The bathroom was great and the beds extremely comfortable. The only thing I would say if I had to think of anything negative is that a bit more storage space would have been helpful and a also mirror by where the table and chair was would have been great, especially for us ladies doing our hair and make up etc but seriously, if thats the worst thing I can think of thats negative then it can't be bad!

The bed was a little too soft for us oldies with backs. Continental breakfast could be improved. Croissants do not take kindly to being re-cycled in the oven for next day. The adjoining Red Lion pub / restaurant fed us superb dinners two days running. Overall - very good value for money.

“comforable clean and modern”

My husband and I stayed here for one night only we stayed in a double room overlooking the station. it was vey clean and comfortable, the bathroom was imaculate with a very large shower area and powerful shower. we were not disturbed by passing trains, the sound proofing must be very good. The breakfast is buffet style with both hot and cold options and was very good, although i only had ceral and toast! so can't comment about the english breakfast. I woul recommend this hotel, it was pleasantly comfortable, clean and modern.

The only fault seemed to be the cost of using the Wi Fi. I did not use it, but would have liked to. With so many free Wi Fi places I would choose one of those next time

“Superb contemporary hotel on train line”

Large room with sofa and desk, complimentary coffee and tea, with lcd television. Very tastefully decorated in a contemporary style. Located right next to the train station, but you hardly hear them. The bathroom was a bit dark, but a superb hotel.

“Very enjoyable stay”

Excellent service and extremely clean comfortable room. Good breakfast. Value for money. In bedroom by side of railway track, although this did not cause any great disturbance. Would certainly use again

Actually requested for a room with a double bed but was given a twin room. The receptionist did give an excuse but it was not unacceptable. My wife and I had to sleep in separate beds - not acceptable.

Very happy with our visit. The staff were friendly and accomodating. The hotel looked almost new and was very clean and fresh looking. A comfortable stay. Thanks.

Wonderful staff, new modern facilities, very good location for road travelers, breakfast is only ok but can be upgraded for less than 5 pounds, perfect partnership with the Red Lion Pub and Restaurant across the street....I need only to suggest to change some of the mattresses for firm ones for people that cannot sleep in soft ones.

“Could do better”

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was OK. However the room itself was a disappointment considering the cost. There was no refrigerator (I had to ask the staff to put something in their fridge for me) and there was no wardrobe or chest of drawers - only a rack with a shelf above it, which was too dusty to use for my clothes. There was also some staining on the carpet. Annoyingly, there was a £5 charge to use wifi in the room. All in all I felt that corners had been cut on everything except the bill.
