I spent two nights in this hotel while traveling on business. The building was several hundred years old, but the hotel had modern features that you would expect from a brand new hotel. My room was spacious and the bathroom was recently remodeled.
Inside the hotel, there was an excellent restaurant, a small pub, and a coffee shop. I took advantage of all three.
Also, the Internet connection was fast.
In the pub, there is a fireplace burning oak logs, which made for a cozy evening while enjoying a pint of beer.
The staff was extremely friendly. I will stay here again.

Located in a very quiet area near Cambridge centre with easy access to Park&Ride and M11. We only stayed one night on this occasion, so we did not have dinner in the hotel prefering a visit to the town centre and it's choice of restaurants. Our only criticism is that the shower is small and the fixed very large shower head was difficult to manage. A detachable shower head would be more suited to the small space. The continental breakfast was excellent, warm croissants and pleasant staff.

Enjoyed my stay very much. Lovely little classy hotel tucked away but very close to river, restaurants and shops in the city centre. Highly recommend it. Beautiful place to stay during summer as it is very close to the river and convenient to experience punting.

Looking through the other reviews I was beginning to think that we stayed at a different hotel - with the very contrasting reviews! I can only say that our short stay was absolutely excellent - fabulous room and bathroom - spotlessly clean - and staff very attentive and helpful. We left after a hearty and well cooked and presented breakfast and we would give the hotel 11 out of 10 !!! We would certainly stay there again.
