The property was easy to find with parking on the drive for about 6 cars. The building was very modern and clean. My room was facing the front of the property but the lane (The Thorpe) was quiet. In any case, the windows were double glazed. The room was a good size even with a king size bed, which was really comfortable. There are a couple of pubs and a convenience store/post office in the village. Road links to St Ives, Huntingdon and Cambridge are close by. I would definitely recommend this property.

The Guesthouse is well situated, safe and quiet. The bedroom was very clean and fresh. Unfortunately my stay was spoiled by the heating being turned off at nine o'clock in my bedroom and I spent the remainder of the evening watching a film, sitting in my coat to keep warm. Disappointed that breakfast wasn't provided.

Refreshing-excellent accommodation in the country
The host of the delightful guest house, Stewart, was a true delight and very attentive to my needs. This was a solo trip, he offered a frankly stunning breakfast with scintillating conversation. Set in beautiful grounds, the Guest house is tastefully done and once you find it (which is tricky / not sure that’s a detriment on the end) it is well worth the effort. Well done!

Lovely and very comfortable, calm room with excellent bed. Tranquil location in a pretty village. However, the guest house was difficult to find due to a lack of clear signing and no instructions given at the point of booking for the arrival procedure. We also weren't given the room we believed we booked based on the selection descriptions and photos on the website (separate bathroom rather than ensuite).

A Great Find!
We stayed in the Doghouse, which has the added bonus of a small separate kitchen. Thorpe Guesthouse is very homely and we enjoyed the use of the garden too. The super-king bed was comfortable and we slept well as it was so quiet. Stewart's breakfasts are a delight and make a great start to the day. The surrounding countryside is idyllic and Stewart was very helpful with tips for local walks. This is a great find and we would love to return some time to explore more of the area.

A Gem!
My Mum and I stayed on 17th May 21 for 2 nights to visit my daughter who I had not seen for a long time. This place was a little gem and we really enjoyed staying here. Service from Stewart and Nicky was superb and nothing was too much trouble. They will be there as little or as much as you want them to be. The rooms were comfortable and spotless and all home comforts were available. The lounge area was lovely and the whole house was modern and lovely. The cooked breakfast was spot on!. Thank you Nicky and Stewart for a great stay - we certainly recommend anyone to stay here.

Best Guesthouse Ive stayed in
What a fantastic gem of a guesthouse! I was met and welcomed upon arrival and shown through to an incredible kitchen / breakfast room where I felt instantly at home (how many hotels can do that?!). My room was spacious, nicely decorated, lovely ensuit and even Netflix option on the TV for those that want a night in. For those who dont, the owners will give you a rundown on the best places to eat and visit. You'll even get a torch to help guide you back safely. How thoughtful. Genuinely impressed and highly recommended.

We were attending a wedding party locally and stay at Thorpe Guest House and what a smashing place to stay! Super duper hosts, relaxed atmosphere, great breakfast, lovely room all in a pretty village on the river. We will definately return.

Beautiful Guest House in a lovely village.
I was in the process of repatriating from the Middle East to St. Ives, Cambridgeshire and wanted a nice, comfortable place to stay while I organised carpeting, decorating and furnishing our empty house. Thorpe Guest House in the very pretty nearby village of Hemingford Grey was perfect. The wonderful, friendly welcome from Nicky & Stewart far surpassed my expectations and they immediately made me feel “at home”. Thorpe Guest House is beautifully decorated & my room was extremely comfortable, king size bed, plenty of wardrobe space, nightstands, 2 comfy armchairs, table with tea/coffee facilities, widescreen TV./wi-fi and ensuite with heated flooring (much appreciated given the extremely cold weather). I had a good choice of breakfast ie. continental to full English which was held in a beautiful breakfast/lounge room overlooking the garden. Nicky & Stewart we’re so helpful and even recommended a good plumber, electrician and painter & decorator for which I will be eternally grateful. They were also extremely accommodating when I needed to stay longer than expected. Definitely an oasis of calm to return to after rushing around every day. I highly recommend a stay at Thorpe Guest House.

Great stay, will be back!
Was staying locally for work and was very well looked after here. Had to check-in late but Stewart called me earlier in the day to check and it was fine. The room was amazing and very comfortable, breakfast was very easy and i felt like i could ask for anything. Overall very professional yet comfortable and cosy. Very clean and well managed. Gorgeous B&B run by a lovely couple
After a very cold day at Huntingdon Races we received a very warm welcome at the Thorpe. The whole house was beautifully decorated and our room was spotless. A very comfortable bed, amazing power shower, tea making facilities, what more could you want! We followed their recommendation for dinner at The Axe & Compass which is 3 mins down the road and it was superb. After a very good night's sleep an amazing cooked breakfast was received, with everything you could wish cooked freshly to order. We would definitely return if we were in the area again. Stewart and Nicky are fantastic hosts.

Lovely 4 Days at the Thorpe!
My mother and I were looking for a lovely place for our 4 days in the Cambridge area so we might travel around the area where we once lived long ago. The Thorpe was just the ticket! Stewart and Nicky were wonderful hosts and very accommodating to our slightly early arrival time. The room had every possible detail considered and was very comfortable. We stayed in the first room as you enter, the "en suite" room and the shower was GREAT and very accessible, unlike so many showers in England. We were both especially appreciative of the directions, information, and suggestions for visiting. Stewart went out of his way and drew up instructions so we wouldn't get lost as we navigated the art of driving roundabouts and left side of the road driving. We followed every one of their suggestions for places & food and were very glad we did, they were right on target. We missed this when we rented an apt. in Oxford, and we really appreciated having hosts like Nicky and Stewart for ideas. One of my absolute FAVORITES was the nearby footpath walk near the river. Great fun and exercise, as well as the opportunity to say hello to the many people out walking their many dogs! Cannot say enough positives. One small suggestion, if in room # 1, make sure to close the curtains if you like a dark room. Some guests arrive later and we did not figure out the curtains until the last night, our mistake.

Constantly ringing to see when where arriving because they was going out . The second night of our stay still dirty tea cups from the night before beds wasn't made and no clean towels been provided . don't know wheather this was because we was contractors they didn't be have to just seem like they couldn't be bothered to doing anything for us to make our stay pleasing won't be staying there again

Lovely guest house, lovely hosts. Quiet secluded location and very comfortable. Lovely views of the garden at breakfast. We would have preferred the bathroom en suite rather than have to leave the bedroom to use it but en suite rooms are available. Would recommend.

Stewart and Nicky were great hosts. Room was very nicely decorated and comfortable. Nice area with 5 to 10 minute walk to the local pub/high street.
