Campu lui Neag is situated 160 miles (257 kilometers) west of the national capital Bucharest.

This regional center offers a number of points of interest, including Piata Mare, ASTRA National Museum Complex and Evangelical Cathedral. Holy Trinity Cathedral, Council Tower and Brukenthal National Museum are also well-worth a visit before heading back to Campu lui Neag.
