They claim to be a non smoking facility but everyone was smoking in their rooms. The walls were thin so it permeates well. As did all the trashy perfumes they were applying. My room didn’t have hot water the first two days. Hilarious. There was no wireless internet the ENTIRE 4 days I was there. Breakfast was horrible. I ate a pile of olives. EVERY hard egg I tried to eat had yolks covered in that green sulfur ring which indicates either old eggs or very overcooked. I stayed in January. It was far from a fully booked hotel but they placed a loud noisy family right next door to me. What gives? To top it off the front desk recommendations for food were horrible. One place I was directed to had American and Mexican cuisine. Who travels from North America to Turkey to eat Mexican cuisine in some cheesy club??

Very central, perfect for the ferry and ferry-bound buses, as well as nightlife, though drawback is outside noise until the early hours. Lovely, comfortable bed!

Loved the hotel and the staff there. Incredible location, smack center, right by the pier. The rooms are comfy and very peaceful nights of sleep. The staff were very helpful in setting up arrangements for tours to the battle fields. I would defiantly stay here again. A big thank you to the manager who also use to work in Colorado,( my home state), he is a great source of information & to have a nice chat with over tea. Again, thank you until next time.

The staff were really helpful and friendly. Breakfast was extensive and very good. Location is great, in the city centre so close to shopping, cafes and restaurants and the ferry.

Excellent base to visit Gallipoli Memorials
We arrived very late after a delay and the night staff couldn’t have been more helpful. The rooms were simple and straightforward, nicely decorated with very clean bathrooms. Breakfast was plentiful. The ferry to the Gallipoli peninsula was a 5 minute walk from the hotel.

We booked a family room and paid in advance. There was no problem with welcome. Everything as agreed. Hotel building is quite old. One should not expect much comfort. Location is perfect exactly in city central. Breakfast so so.

Nice place right in the centre of town
Very easy stay here. Friendly and relaxed. Located in the centre of town near the ferry. Breakfast was nice. Good place to leave for a Gallipoli tour, which they arranged at reception.

Very nice hotel, friendly staff
Staff was very kind to help me with the ramp for wheelchair. For the inconvenient of two hours spend with the ramp they accepted us with two extra children and parking free, as discount. Room very good. Great location. Breakfast free. Lift has enough space for wheelchair.

Comfortable hotel.
Stayed for 2 nights to visit the sites at Gallipoli. Great breakfast. Nice comfortable and quiet room. Friendly and helpful staff. Gave us a map and explained the area, which was not usual for Turkey. Would definitely stay again.

Staff quite helpful although some only limited English. Only concern very difficult access to shower over bath made worse by loose handrail. Otherwise great spot to stay.

Good hotel in great location.
The hotel is easy to find. Is near the ferry and in the middle of things. Around the corner are the less touristy and more interesting places to dine in and look at. The place is clean and spacious. Breakfast was comprehensive. The hotel can also book tours to the local highlights.

Great location 200 meters from ferry, very friendly staff, clean rooms, there is refrigerator in the room, quiet neighborhood, parking is nearby, excellent breakfast, great value for the money.

Best location
The rooms were 5 minutes walk to the ferry for the peninsula. Food shops outside the hotel. It was great to come home to the air conditioner and complimentary water and hot drinks that were available at all hours in the lobby. Had a good breakfast which was included before we set off every morning. Excellent value and friendly staff.

Great Location
The hotel is right by the water!!! Everything is just a nice stroll away!! Since the hotel is minutes from the ferry dock, transportation is not even a problem.. All in all it was a fantastic stay. I will definitely stay there again...

The only good thing I can say about this hotel was that they let us check in early. Since specific rates can't be mentioned in reviews I can't fully explain but I booked based on a USD rate. In the booking confirmation, the rate changed to euros and taking the exchange rate into account, it was 10% more than it should have been. That was surprising but I wasn't going to make a deal out of it. I found out at check out that they already charged my credit card (the booking confirmation did not say my card would be charged automatically), in turkish lira and taking the exchange into account, it was now 28% more than the original rate quoted! I insisted on paying the lower euro rate in cash and was told my credit card would be refunded. At first they only refunded me the difference between what the room should have cost in turkish lira and the inflated rate they charged. I had to email a couple of times before they processed a refund for the rest of the money. Other than that: the shower did not have a temperature regulator installed so the water went back and forth between scalding hot and freezing cold. The beds were super hard and uncomfortable. The windows let in cold and noise from outside. The pictures on the website must have been of another room and shot with a special lens because the room we were in was so small we had to rearrange the furniture and put some of it in the closet just to make room for our 2 suitcases. I do not recommend this hotel.

During our trip from Istanbul to Batumi (Georgia) and back (around Black sea ) this hotel was no.1. for us. Comfort, staff, price, breakfast - everything was perfect. I can recommend for everybody.

Comfortable Hotel on central location.
We arrived by car (having driven from Istanbul) and although parking in Canakkale is tight near the ferry terminal, the hotel maintains a small parking lot for its guest just across the road from its main hotel (they have three). The staff were incredibly helpful. Check-in was seamless and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Its central location was ideal. It enabled easy transfer to the Gallipoli Peninsula via ferry as well as numerous restaurants / eateries. Would certainly recommend this hotel for those staying in the Canakkale / Gallipoli area.

Comfortable hotel in heart of city
When we arrived we needed another room and the staff here went to huge lenghts to find and extra one as they has no vacancy and then invited the extra guest to come and join us for breakfast. Above and beyond the call of duty. Also sourced an all night pharmacy for us.. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel

This a little gem in Canakkale. It is clean, very central (close to the harbour and castle), and has recently been renovated with new bathroom fittings and flooring in the rooms. The staff provided excellent restaurant suggestions and were exceptionally helpful overall - particular thanks go to Hassan for calling the Kamil Koc coach people to move my reservation several times. I've stayed at hotels in Turkey at twice the price that do not match this one.

Good hotel experience - we were upgraded to the grand Anzac Hotel and the staff were very friendly and helpful. They organised a tour of Gallipoli for us which had a great English speaking guide and included our lunch as well as ferry crossings to and from Eceabat (where the tour began ).

The hotel was very clean and nice. The rooms are a bit small but still very comfortable. We had a view of the clock tower out our window and was less then 1 block from everything. There was also free parking right next to the hotel and they provided valet service. I would stay here again for sure!

Great Hotel, Exceptional Staff
My husband and I spent four nights at the Grand Anzac. Our room was clean and comfortable and the complimentary breakfast buffet was tasty; we were a couple of blocks from the ferry dock, a 15-minute walk to the dolmus station, and close to a large variety of restaurants, most of them reasonably-priced, as well as waterfront bars. What really made the stay great, though, was the staff at the front desk. They set up a Gallipoli tour for us, returned my passport when I left it in the lobby (don't ask), pointed me to a tailor so I could get a pair of jeans hemmed, and even helped us navigate PTT, the Turkish post office. They were exceptionally friendly and helpful. I would happily stay here again. In fact, I can't imagine I'd stay anywhere else in Canakkale.

We stayed here as a quick stopover for 1 night after visiting Troy. Comfortable bed, clean and modern room, greast breakfast buffet. All together, great value for the money. Conveniently located 2 blocks from the ferry terminal to Gallipoli.

a comfortable and pleasant stay
only a couple of 100 metres from the ferry port made it an easy walk as we got off the bus. Pleasant staff who, on arrival, informed us that we had been 'upgraded' to the Grand Anzac around the corner. Just another short walk and the staff helped carry the bags. Room was OK although could have done without the third bed to make it roomier as we had booked a double. The tour we had booked through the hotel via email was excellent.
