"Romantic room in great neighborhood"
My wife and I had a wonderful experience in our two nights here. The staff was very helpful in making recommendations and even were able to get a local restaurant to keep the kitchen open late for us upon arrival. The room is well appointed and conducive for a romantic getaway.

"This Value Won't Last"
This is a superb hotel in perfect location for visiting most of the key museums and tourist spots of the city. It just opened this spring after a complete rebuild with elegant materials, workmanship and good taste. The staff worked hard to make our stay pleasant. Since it is still "new", I suspect it is using Expedia etc to "sample" new customers while it builds its ongoing customer base. As a result current price, relative to future marketplace value, is compelling. We've stayed in lots of upscale hotels around the world and this one ranks high.

"Great boutique hotel in Amsterdam"
I had to pick a hotel in Amsterdam for a one-night stopover and relied on online reviews to do so. The Toren kept showing up among the top hotels. I'm very glad I chose to stay there. It's a cool boutique hotel in a great location with extremely courteous and helpful staff. I would gladly stay there again.

"Excellent service close to evrything"
The only reason I gave this hotel a 4 in comfort was because of it's modern amenities, which is not my style. But the room was well appointed and felt brand new. A little on the small side, but functional. The staff was friendly and always went of their way to make sure you were taken care of. You can walk to all attractions.

"Small boutique hotel"
Super hotel in a lovely location. Rooms are big and spacious, staff are quite friendly and with no formal reception it feels like going to an actual canal townhouse. Other reviews are right about wifi - you get logged out each time but that's easy to fix and the stairs up to the rooms are quite steep but that's part of the beauty of the hotel.

This hotel is conveniently located for the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum and within reasonable walking distance of the historic centre of Amsterdam, but is also close to the Metro and has a tram stop outside. We found it was a very suitable base for exploring the city.

Pocket Guide: Canal Ring, Amsterdam Boutique Hotels

The classic Amsterdam image of stately canals, the Canal Loop is principally the Herengracht and Keizersgracht, lined with gracious tall 17th and 18th-century houses. Some of these are now museums, most notably the eccentric Kattenkabinet. The Amstel is a more down-to-earth waterway, lined with houseboats and famous for its classic much–photographed Magere Brug (Skinny Bridge). The floating Flower Market is also a much-loved canal feature.
