"Outstanding little hotel"
I have stayed here many times and it is still as good as ever: attentive service; comfortable, large, well-equipped rooms; quiet; good breakfast; excellent location.

"Nice hotel but difficult to reach"
No car parking and hard to get to. Nice hotel, modern and good facilities Food good but catch of the day had escaped (none left but only us in dining room!) Was charged again for an accidental spilled drink which a bit penny pinching Good hotel but restaurant staff a bit popr

"Close to amenities"
The reception staff were polite. Our bed was comfy and the shower was lovely and strong. We like the old character of the building. It could do with some upgrading but overall it did the job. Very close to tram and town centre which was good. It's not the cheapest but we booked late so it was very convenient.

"Ok hotel but carpark was a good walk away!"
After a long drive, we finally arrived in Manchester and followed the instructions to the car park from the website. As stated the car park is on Tariff Street, but there are also a few smaller ones that had nothing to do with the hotel. Following the road round to the end, obscured by a building is in fact a large multi-storey car park which after an hour, we located. I think it would be helpful if this was made a little clearer. Although we did not spend a lot of time in the hotel itself, the room allocated to us was rather disappointing. Adequate, but a little "sad". A few little things although not major just a tad annoying. Toiletries for one person, only two milks on the compliment tray and we did book a double room. Finally, upon check out, you have to validate your car park ticket to get the discounted rate. So, after hiking all the way back to the car park about 15 mins away, with bags and bags of shopping, put the ticket in the machine only to see that we had to pay the undiscounted rate!! There was no way we were going to trudge all the way back again to get it done. We were charged the full amount which is over 24 hours obviously, which marred our experience of this hotel.

"Easy acces from Piccadily"
The room was on the small side but was neat. We were offered the choice to have a view of the city which was nice. China town is right on the corner, the square in front has all kinds of quick food choices, but the nice restaurants and shops are further away. My biggest nudge was the TV; every time you handled the remote it made a terrible sound.

"Easy as close to bars "
Wouldn't go again as the room was very small and the bed was uncomfortable. Would recommend if your going to the clubs/pubs nearby.

"Restaurant really good"
Stayed in a penthouse suite after a gig at the cricket ground. Hotel is well located and lots of pubs and clubs in the vicinity. Food at the hotel is lovely, my sister and her partner met us to eat and we all enjoyed our meals. Drinks were reasonable too, although cocktails are way too expensive. Room was well appointed and the coffee and biscuits are a nice touch. Room was mostly clean but couple of things that had been missed, en suite toilet had a speck of pee so that was a little disappointing but obviously didn't ruin anything. Would stay again as nice hotel and nice staff.

"Good location, average room"
Stayed here for one night as a family of three. Room was pleasant, sofa bed duvet was small and had no cover to it. My 9 year old also complained he could feel the springs. Double bed was hard. Room became very hot through the night and we soon found that the air con didn't work. We were also only provided with two large towels. However, good location, clean room and parking nearby with a discount from the hotel.
