Excellent valuePosted Sep 23, 2014
Pros: 1. Reasonable price 2. In new condition 3. Swimming pool - salt chlorination system 4. Breakfast incl'd 5. Convenient loc'n
Cons: Larger pool.
Location: Canandaigua not a large place; so, hotel close to everything. Across the street from excellent Wegmans grocery. Several microbreweries nearby.
Stayed with son's family (3- and 5-year old grandchildren) for shopping expedition at Waterloo Premium Outlets -- about 30-40 min's away. Kids greatly enjoyed pool (about 5 hours total). Although pool capacity is only 10, we had it to ourselves 4 of the 5 visits. Could have been much less enjoyable, otherwise. Complimentary breakfast is acceptable: coffee; several cereals; fat-free and 2% milk; fruit; yogurt; juices; bread, jam, peanut butter; automatic pancake machine; 2 kinds of omelettes; turkey sausage; biscuits. Several malls nearby -- walkable if you're a walker. Attractive downtown just 3-5 minute drive away. Located back from the road so very quiet. Seems like a brand new hotel -- very clean -- altho I didn't check actual age. Free parking. Lemon water and cookie tray in lobby. 3 stories with single elevator. Small fitness room -- didn't try it. Typically, under-used so far as I could tell. Business center with two computers -- never saw anybody using. Free Wi-Fi.

An Average HotelPosted Aug 26, 2014
This hotel is fairly newly built so the facility is up to date and modern. The location is great and quiet. The hotel had some cleanliness issues. The hallways looked as if they had not been vacuumed for a few days (we stayed for more than one night and in the three days we saw the hallway it was not vacuumed). The room had some minor cleanliness issues (bathroom floor) although it was spacious and accommodating. The bed was hard and not so comfortable. The main issue with this hotel though is that the doors are heavy and equipped with a heavy spring that causes them to slam shut if hotel patrons do not hold the door to slowly let it close. One wakes up (earlier than wished) to several doors slamming in the morning and a couple of times these doors slamming made things in the room rattle.

Pleasant stay.Posted Aug 21, 2014 on Hotels.com
The staff was very pleasant and dealt with any issues quickly and without resistance. The room offered good amount of room and comfortable beds. The room was also very clean and quiet. Others in our party used the pool and found it very relaxing. The breakfast was very good and the staff for the breakfast was very helpful and treated you with good service and assistance. I have not stayed in a hotel where the person responsible for the breakfast area ever served us coffee and then refilled our cups!

Brand new facilityPosted Aug 17, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel is brand new. Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is a little difficult to find. It is on a service that runs paralel to RT 20. Their sign is hidden by new trees that have been planted on Rt 20. When you get to the Shopping Malls in Canandaigua start looking on the right side of the westbound lanes.

Good location for concertsPosted Jul 22, 2014 on Hotels.com
Room was very clean and hotel is about 1 1/2 yrs old. Room was really decorated tastefully and really modern. Wife liked free make up remover stuff and nice fridge and microwave nicely hidden but worthwhile. Ordered a pizza and then a 3 minute drive to the concert..a great place to stay if going there..would return!! Need a BIGGER Holiday Inn sign as not easy to locate (it is beside and a bit behind the Super 8)

close to CMACPosted Jul 22, 2014 on Hotels.com
nice new hotel, convenient to the CMAC venue. A little noisy on the first floor near front desk , ice machine and outdoor patio/side-back entrance door.
