“Best place in town”

This is a fine hotel in an historic small city. The rooms are large and well-maintained and kept extremely clean. There are coffee makers in the rooms and free coffee in the lobby in the morning. The staff is pleasant and knowledgable. Access to the main shopping district and the resort/lake area is easy and quick. The beds are comfortable and have good quality linens. Duvets are used rather than blankets, which I personally prefer. Parking is free and in good supply.

“Perfect Getaway”

The Inn on the Lake was the perfect hotel for a weekend getaway. Canandaigua is a cute, little town with nearby shops and restaurants. Several vineyards and wineries are a short drive away. The hotel staff was very helpful. The hotel is much nicer than the pictures indicate. The hotel restaurant is excellent.

“great spot to stay for CMAC concert party...”

The staff was very friendly and made us feel welcome. We got a free drink at the bar and food discounts by showing the concert tickets. They have an open "Sand Bar" with food, drink, music and festive atmosphere located over looking the lake.. comfortable room with fridge & coffee pot.. Great place if you are overnighting a concert....

“When in Canandaigua”

Can't beat the location, the view, the view, the location! Friendly staff, weekends usually have several wedding parties. Indoor pool is real small so don't be surprised. The property is great. Its our default location except in prime time summer when the rates get pretty high.

“Great location directly on the lake”

Nice hotel with an amazing location. In the summer you have direct access to the lake and when it's cold out, you have the great view and a beautiful fireplace to enjoy. The rooms are nice, not luxurious. Definitely the best option in Canandaigua.

“Overpriced”

For a friday night in Canadaiguia I was shocked at the amount I had to pay for the room. View of parking lot, people were snoty (not the workers but people staying at hotel). Parking was awful. Positive water views from hotels shoreline were beautiful. Since there isn't any other place to stay in the area (that's clean). That was the only reason I recommend this hotel. Otherwise overpriced.

“Not impressed”

Not impressed by the hotel for the price. Was told when I checked out, that I could have gotten a discount if I had asked when I checked in. It was too late on the morning we checked out.
