Good value hotel - with benefits!Posted Jul 28, 2015
Pros: Value for money
The Aria is a modern, comfortable hotel within a reasonable distance from the CBD etc. The rooms have balconies and all the basic facilities working well. It has a small bar and cafe but it is also associated with its sister hotel, the Pavilion immediately alongside, which provides greater dining services etc while billing to the Aria. Great value for money.

We found the hotel to be above expectations, very modern look and feel with ample parking facilities. Would definitely stay there again.

Modern hotel & really nice staffPosted Jul 27, 2015
Thank you for an enjoyable stay in Canberra! Front desk staff were so friendly and helpful & love the free parking. Only thing i could fault is they didnt tell me there was a $5 charge for the portacot when i rang or when i checked in, only after i left they asked for money. (I would hv brought my own if i knew)

Good location but some misses on this stayPosted Jul 20, 2015
Pros: Location, cafe downstairs for easy breakfast in the morning, free parking
Cons: We didn't receive any follow-up as to why we did not receive Housekeeping services even though we had requested them.
I may consider staying here again because the location and value were good. However, we did have some issues. First, I called the morning we were supposed to check in and inquired about postponing for a week due to the main road from Sydney being closed. The woman would not help me because I had booked through Expedia and said I would be charged the first night's rate as a penalty if we didn't come. Luckily, the road opened later in the day and we were able to make it. Jason at the Front Desk was very nice and welcoming when we arrived and informed us we had received a room upgrade. We went up to the room which was freezing and of course turned on the heating systems. Even after a few minutes, nothing was coming out so we called down and were told it had to defrost and to give it an additional 15 minutes later. Unfortunately it still did not work, so Jason came up to the room and determined the system was faulty. He arranged another room for us, which was nice of course but annoying too because we had already unpacked. The next day, we left the room in the morning and turned on the "Please make up my room" sign. When we returned around 5 that day, no one had came to the room. Jason was back on duty and was able to deliver towels but by that time, Housekeeping had gone home so that was all we were able to get. Jason made a challenging stay better, and at the end of the day, we had a warm bed in a great location in Canberra, but I think I would try somewhere else next time.

Well presented hotelPosted Jul 7, 2015
Pros: Staff, modern fit out and free parking.
Cons: Better quality, and cheaper (or free) internet.
Location: Close to Braddon which is great for food.
This is a modern, clean and efficient hotel, it's good for the price and I would stay here again. It doesn't have much atmosphere, but that wasn't what I was looking for. The staff were excellent and very eager to assist. Downsides were that the bathroom floor tiles were absolutely freezing in the Canberra winter, the internet was expensive yet was very poor and, strangely, there was no minibar. Otherwise, a solid 4 star hotel and, as I said, I'd stay there again.

July Stay at AriaPosted Jul 5, 2015
Pros: The room upgrade was appreciated, and meant that I had a large apartment-style room to enjoy. Overall, the hotel was clean and comfortable.
Cons: The huge charge for internet use - $20 for 24 hours - seemed a little unreasonable, especially when the rest of the room was of such a high standard.
Though my stay was short, Aria served my purposes well and proved a warm and comfortable shelter from the Canberra winter.

Modern and comfortablePosted Jun 30, 2015
This was our first stay at the Aria hotel and we look forward to staying there again. The room was very comfortable - modern bathroom with dispensers rather than little bottles of gel and shampoo so you never run out of supplies. The bed and pillows were soft and offered an excellent night's sleep. The café downstairs was very reasonable in its pricing and the food was delicious. Ample indoor secure parking. Friendly reception staff.
