Generous space in great location

Posted Dec 26, 2014
Pros: Generous space
Cons: nothing
Location: It's centrally located so trips to all the Canberra landmarks, including the new parliament house, NGA, city centre, are short and convenient by car.
Located near the National Gallery of Australia and short distance to Manuka, Burbury Hotel is a great place to stay when visiting Canberra. The suite has large living space and separate bedroom, a kitchenette equipped with a microwave and plenty of parking space. It's perfect for short to medium term accommodation.

Very clean & comfortable; close to Parliament Hse

Posted Dec 2, 2014
Pros: Clean and comfortable; proximity to Parliament House but also convenient to CBC or Manuka area.
Ours was a short stay in Canberra to attend a function in Parliament House. We had to return to Sydney early the next day so did not get to experience all there was to offer. Parking was convenient; we caught taxis to and from Parliament House; room was clean and comfortable.

Never again!!

Posted Dec 1, 2014
Pros: The car park was handy.
Cons: Only by pulling it down and building a nicer place.
Location: The location is good for all the local sights and eateries.
There was work being carried out next door and it sounded like someone was going to break through the wall, this went on all day Saturday and Sunday, the staff pretended that they didn't know anything about it. The room was darker than a morgue, could not get enough light to read in comfort. Breakfast was very expensive and the only fresh fruit was a few slices of Melon. The handles on the cupboards/drawers were almost impossible to pull as they were so flat/small and smooth. All-in-all a modern black box with as much character as a dried pea.

Lovely hotel in great location

Posted Nov 25, 2014
Pros: Very stylish decor.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Off main road so nice and quiet. Short drive to Manuka's restaurants.
Room was lovely. Very clean. Staff very friendly. I had requested two singles - request had not been relayed to the hotel. Staff organised re-make of beds while we went out to dinner. It was no trouble.

Nice clean hotel

Posted Nov 4, 2014
First time stay in this hotel and I found it very nice with friendly staff. I only stayed one night so didn't use the hotel facilities. Breakfast was across the road in their sister hotel, along with the facilities. Some people may find this off-putting but I didn't mind. You weren't crossing a busy street, it's just a narrow roadway.

very comfortable hotel close to major attractions

Posted Oct 17, 2014
Pros: it is unpretentious, with quality inclusions/extras in the room.
Cons: maybe the initial darkness in the room when i first entered - the lights on the wall panel were on, but somehow the room was darkish.
Location: near the press club, parliament house, lovely older part of Canberra.
excellent, friendly and non-intrusive staff assistance; very clean room with quality inclusions, in particular a brilliant bed and pillows, conducive to deep sleep.

Modern hotel near centre of Canberra
