Had everything we needed for a night

Posted Jan 25, 2015
Pros: Good, basic accommodation.
Cons: The buffet service.
Pleasant overnight stay. Clean and catered perfectly for 4 adults in a room. Buffet breakfast was reasonable, although the very friendly staff were madly running around trying to keep up with demand. I would stay again.

stopover

Posted Jan 18, 2015
Pros: Comfy beds, lovely staff. Nice little pool for cooling off on a hot day.
Cons: Poor shower. Pool seating area could be improved - some shade umbrellas? We were also glad we had our own pillows with us.
Location: Nowhere to eat in walking distance, but nothing's very far away to drive to in Canberra.
Good basic hotel/motel for a stopover of a couple of days. Clean room, comfortable beds, and a good breakfast was welcomed by the family.

3 night stay on short holiday

Posted Jan 6, 2015
Pros: Location, quiet area
Cons: It seems the motel has the potential to be very good but needs a facelift
Location: Easy to get to Manuka, City Centre, major attractions and Woden Shopping Complex. Traffic was very light at this time of the year and driving was easy
Booked hotel and then asked for an upgrade to a superior room which was available so had a spa room which was a bonus at a reasonable price. The motel was busy in this holiday period Motel was in a convenient location for our day trips in Canberra. We did not use dining room or bar area at all.

Canberra holiday

Posted Dec 14, 2014
Pros: clean, tidy, and quite.
Cons: carparking
Location: Canberra is full of must sees--the war memorial, Telstra tower, national botanical gardens etc
clean hotel, clean rooms and friendly staff the only bad comment I can make is that there is no allocated carparking so its open slather where your car ends up .

Feed back on Hotel

Posted Nov 24, 2014
Pros: location and price
Cons: A decent Room Service menu that is actually delivered to your room.
Location: Central location with lots of restaurants nearby if you wish to eat out.
The Hotel was comfortable with pleasent staff and clean rooms (bed was quite good but take your own pillow. Not sure about "room service" though, the menu is extremely limited. It will cost you $5 extra for them to deliver to your room otherwise you have to go down to the restaurant and pick it up yourself. Your meal is given to you in plastic take away containers with plastic utensils in a plastic bag. I ordered Butter Chicken which while tasty was a small serve that I paid $20.00 for.

Pros: lovely breakfast area good staff. reception area.
Cons: door leading into hallway would shut with a loud bang every time a guest would enter, making it very hard to sleep. needs to be adjusted.
security light directly shining into bedroom window off putting , hallway security door banging every time someone entered, people talking in hallway 1am in the morning and no reception to call to report . Up side complimentary bottle water in fridge, free wireless internet , late checkout, staff friendly.

Probably one of the worst hotels I have stayed in.

Posted Oct 12, 2014
Pros: The towels were large and thirsty. If you could get them.
Cons: The hotel is a desperate need of a refurbishment. It is looking tired and dirty.
Location: parliment house is interesting and worth a visit. The war memorial is fantastic and should be on your list of things to do.
Arriving at the ibis style Canberra I was pleasantly surprised by how good the foyer looked. The check in person was friendly and polite. I was directed towards my room and things just got worse. Firstly it was difficult to find a parking spot as there were several busses taking up bays even though there was other spaces supplied for them. My room was on the second floor (no lift). The hallway carpets were stained and discoloured. Opening up my room I was met by a mouldy smell as though the room hadn't been used for a while plus more stains on the room carpet and generally untidy. The room itself was well sized and the bed was comfy. The bathroom was pleasent but nothing spectacular but one thing that stood out was loose leaf toilet paper (a visit to the local supermarket to purchase our own proper toilet paper was required). I was dissapointed after leaving the room at 9:00am with the sign clearly saying that the room could be made up and returning at 4:30pm to find that the room had not been made up. Even though the hallways were full of used sheets and towels in piles. Security is also an issue as a safe is not provided, the doors are only single locked with a key and the hall doors were left open during the night.
