Great location but very tired looking.

Posted Mar 2, 2015
Pros: Location and Bed
Cons: Parking lot needs to be a bit more user friendly and the bathrooms needs urgent upgrading
This hotel was in a great location and the bed was very comfortable, but it definitely was not a 4.5 star hotel. The bathroom was old looking and really needed updating and was awkward with the shower over the bath tub. The parking lot was very tight and a bit of nightmare to park with a vehicle that was a little bigger than normal.

good location

Posted Feb 25, 2015
Pros: close to city centre
Cons: security could do more patrols of the floors as very loud partys going on all night, left motel at 7am and the partys were still going
Location: plenty of resturants in walking distanance
overall the room was very neat and comfortable, undercover parking was a bonus

Good staff bit not a good stay

Posted Jan 10, 2015
We travelled with a toddler. So, when some guests next door started running up and down the corridor and shouting at each other followed by another lot 3 floors below yelling and throwing beer cans out of the balcony, we weren't impressed. This was followed by someone "tampering" with the fire alarm setting it off at 4:30 am. If you have an asleep toddler, you think twice before you evacuate your room. The hotel was unable to delay our check out so that we could get some sleep before driving 3.5 hrs home.

Well located hotel

Good location close to restaurants etc. We were evacuated from the building at 4:30 am due to a fire alarm ( false alarm) so asked for a later checkout to compensate. Asked to leave earlier next morning due to high demand but parking fee waived to compensate. The room was noisy- the air conditioner and shower next door were loud but it was comfortable otherwise.

Nice hotel.

Posted Jan 9, 2015
Pros: Nothing that I particularly didnt like.
Cons: needs an our door pool, there pool smells like children's swimming lessons.
Location: close to main shops and eating places. excellent location.
Everything all great apart from a false fire alarm going off @ 4:30am and the bed was quite uncomfortable (2 singles clicked together) left like a metal bar holding them together.

Loved our hotel stay

Posted Dec 30, 2014
Pros: Convenient location, reasonable price and great hotel staff.
Cons: Maybe getting complimentary breakfast or tourist shuttle for guests to take to main attractions.
Location: Close to CBD area, with bus and shops 10mins walk.can take bus to parliament house, art gallery, museums.
When we arrived we were greeted by friendly staff and upgraded to one bedroom apartment which was a pleasant surprise after a long bus trip to canberra. The room facilities were great and in clean order. The staff were helpful directing us to bus stop location and attractions we wanted to visit. The hotel was located walking distance to transport and shops which was another plus. We also got chance to use the hotel swimming pool and enjoyed it. Overall very happy with our stay and hope to stay again at Mantra.
