“Excellent value”

The Pavilion is an excellent hotel and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Canberra. The bus stop is outside the front door, there is ample car parking and an easy stroll to the Information Centre in Northborne Ave. It is located close to the great cafes and restaurants in Dickson and the Courtesy bus to the city, Parliamentary Triangle and the airport is a wonderful bonus!

“Relaxing Pavilion”

Loved the free shuttle that dropped me off in the mornings and was handy to bus and tourist info only a few minutes away. Very restful pavilion courtyard though pool area was most uninviting and I would have loved to sit outside and relax if it had been otherwise.

“I will certainly stay here again”

This is a great hotel and fully meets the description on the Expedia list. The buffet breakfst was extremely good as was the Dinner in the house restaurant.where service and attention could not be faulted.

“Will go back again”

The hotel is well situated. It was easy to find. we had great access to the city of Canberra. the hotel provided us with maps and infromation about attractions. It had a beautiful atrium in the middle of the hotel. we ate lunch there on 2 occasions, which is very rare for us, but the $12 lunch was outstanding quality. We didn't eat in the main restaurant so i can't comment on that. It was very clean. I don't really like showers in the bath but we managed that okay. The service was good and everyone was very helpful. there is an outdoor pool which looked very inviting, but the weather turned so we didn't use it.

“Good hotel, efficient service”

Service was friendly and efficient. The room seems to have been updated and is quite pleasant to stay in. The bathroom is small but clean and sufficient. The highlight of the hotel is the tropical garden in the central atrium. It is especially provides a nice setting for a meal or a drink in the evening.

All round great experience. The staff were all very friendly, pleasant and extremely helpful.

“Pavillion is excellent”

I stayed in this hotel in 1989 and was really pleased to see that the establishment has been maintained to a very high standard. The room was very comfortable, the bed was great and the bathroom was in very good condition and clean. The staff were very friendly. Cannot fault it.

“Great value, great location, friendly staff”

Always great staying at the Pavillion. Only problem this time was that the room was absolutely freezing (Yes I know it's Canberra!!!) Although I wound the room thermostat for the air conditioning up to it's maximum setting, the room stayed icey throughout my three night visit. I admit I never reported this to hotel management or reception as I spent most of my time out and about but it made for a few freezing nights and very cold starts to my days. Other that that minor problem, the hotel is in a great location, room service food was good, rooms are priced very well, and it has free parking in abundance. One of my hotels of choice when I regularly visit Canberra to catch up with friends every month or two.

“Excellent”

When quoted the Expedia rate I thought there must be a mistake; four star hotels don't come this cheap. But in this case I was not disappointed. The Pavilion is a delightful place to stay. The enormous tented atrium with its tropical garden is an exotic touch. Service was outstandingly friendly and helpful.

“Good quality hotel”

Good service by all staff. Rooms cleaned perfectly every day. Very quiet hotel, despite being on major road. Modern rooms, albiet TV was older style and a bit small. Staff even permitted me to store 3 bicycles in their luggage room and were only too happy to allow me retrieve the bikes each day without complaint.
