Comfortable in an Old World Sense

Posted Jul 5, 2014
Pros: It was a good location for what we were there to do, the price was competitive, and the staff were very good.
Cons: More lighting in the room.
Location: The Parliament building and a large number of government agencies are very close by. Lake Burley Griffin is within easy (minutes) walking distance.
The Brassey has been there since 1927. It is well appointed, very comfortable with pretty much all the amenities one would expect, but it is old style - much like me!

Cons: housekeeping needs to be improved. the room where we stayed has a lot of dust on table tops, TV and windows.
hotel ambiance and surrounding facilities are nice. great food @ brekkie. parking space is very limited for the customers
