Clean and good staff

Location: Hotel Zone, beach ,clubs, downtown Cancun
The location is not the best eventhought you have Plaza Americas and the beach not so far, also the water had a bad taste.

Not a four stars hotel, decent but overpriced

I made the mistake of booking this trip in a hurry and without looking at the reviews. Let me say the room was alright (though the TV was not large flat screen as advertised but old) as far as size, bed comfort, cleanliness. List of problems: 1. Asked for a king bed got a double room 2. Got it changed but had to call reception multiple times (reception unresponsiveness is a theme throughout) 3. Elevators stopped working 4. Swipe card stopped working 5. Gave me wrong internet code, had to call again 6. Restaurant is overpriced (but not unexpectedly so) 7. Hotel administration seems ill prepared as I would often call about something, be told I would be called back, and was not called back. 8. Poor sound insulation. 9. Though the hotel is relatively close to the water, it is almost impossible to get to the beach, and the nearby beaches are pretty unimpressive. 10. This is not a 4 star hotel, I don't know where that rating came from, feeling generous I would give it a 3 star rating. I have considered asking for a partial refund given all the problems with my stay.

Not So Soundproofed Rooms!

The hotel states in its description that the rooms are soundprooofed. What I think they mean is that there is proof that you can hear every sound!!! Room to room sounds are loud as well as in the hallways. The staff seemed to meet in the neighboring room to mine... laughing, talking, etc. Was very annoying!! If you plan on sleeping in... don't! You're sure to be woken with slamming doors cleaning in the neighboring rooms, people in the hallways. Also, the hotel is not yet completed. So you can hear drills and hammers all day.
