Awful place!

Pros: Not much
Cons: Turn the noise down!!
Noisy, bad food, drunks, and smelly. Only thing decent about this place are the rooms.

Amazing Mexican Hospitality

Pros: Outstanding friendly customer service from everyone who works at hotel. They always had a smile and were happy to help out and answer our questions.
Cons: Amenities, especially shower gel, shampoo & conditioner were bad quality & didn't have a good scent. Seems like cheap quality for these items.
Location: Small beach and big ship/boat traffic as it's right next to the lagoon. Nice landscape everywhere, cleanliness, easy access to local buses.
The staff was really very friendly and everybody has a few nice words for us, whether it was the Front Desk, gardener, or housekeeping staff. The service we had received (we were celebrating a belated honeymoon/1st anniversary) was 5 star quality. The Albatros Restaurant has a very nice patio right next to its beach so we had several romantic breakfasts and dinners outside. Lots of food choices and every night was a different (country) theme. You will never be hungry because there is a 24-hour buffet/bar with tasty things, especially if doing early morning tours and restaurant not open yet. Ocean-front view room with big terrace has beautiful view/sight of the sea. Our room had the big shower that fits 2 people. :) We did 2 tours with BD Travel and they offered good prices and gave us all the important information. Chichen-Itza, Tulum, Xel-Ha, and Jungle Tour must be done if visiting this part of Mexico. Another must see is La Isla Mujeres with the golf cart and swimming in Playa Delfines on the Hotel Zone. Local bus is only USD $1.00 and goes every 2-3 minutes both directions, but sometimes you will meet a few crazy fast bus drivers (but very safe)! If possible, get room on the ocean side so you can see Isla Mujeres across the way. Be aware that they are doing construction work on the pool and in the driveway leading up to the hotel entrance, but since it is not the high season, the work needs to be done sometime. We highly recommend this place, especially for couples.

Cool clear water

Pros: The staff impressed me right off the bat. They answer any questions you may have and go above and beyond to help you.
Love staying at Barcelo Costa Cancun. This is my second stay with them. The water is smooth,clear and cool at this location. The soft sand is easy on your feet and their staff does a wonderful job at keeping it clean. Love the variety of restaurant choices as well as the 24 hour snack bar. All of the food service staff are friendly and helpful. The front desk staff are also friendly and helpful. If you have any questions or concerns they will make sure to take care of you. The air conditioning is very cold in the rooms so no worries about cooling back down if you get sunburned out lounging by the pool or beach. Close to the ferry if you want to visit Isla Mujeres. About in the middle of the hotel zone so it is easy to get to either Market 28 or downtown for shopping,dancing and sight seeing. I recommend the sky rider experience,the view from up in the air is spectacular. The Captain Hook ship leaves and returns nightly close by this hotel,so you get to see it from the beach if you choose. Easy to convert American dollars to Peso for the bus which is the fastest,easiest and cheapest way to get to your destinations. Just take your passport with you to the front desk for the transaction. Even if you don't speak Spanish,there usually is a local nearby who speaks English to help you.

For Spring Breakers this is the Hotel

Pros: Rooms are clean and bed is comfortable.
Location: Good location for closeness to the down-town area and other activities but stay there with an open mind and do not expect quality
Noise rooms (with youngsters drinking and making noise), medium quality food and worse yet: the Staff that is supposed to welcome you actually makes it frustrating to do so. Disappointing is the key word for this hotel.

Very good stay at Costa hotel.

Pros: Everything.
Cons: Beach is not large, but it turned out to be better than much bigger beaches, because of its location (very calm waters).
Essentially, service, food, comfort, entertainment, beach, activities was top of the line. Will definitely go back.

Cozy hotel with a very Spanish influence.

Hotel was nice, beach was very small and the view was minimal. Close to the night life and the city. Although there was not much English at all and often a slight challenge to communicate.

Very reasonably priced resort!

Pros: It is a spacious and well kept resort. The pool & beach are very nice nice and the employees were friendly and helpful as well.
Cons: I wished they had a swim up bar.
Location: The location is a bit further down the strip but it was easy to get a cab as they were always available at the entrance to the resort.
I stayed for 3 days in mid July at this resort and enjoyed it very much. It is a spacious and well kept resort. The pool and beach are very nice. The only thing that I wished they had was a swim up bar. But they did have waitresses that came around taking drink orders. I would recommend this resort as it was very reasonably priced, the food was really good, and the employees were friendly and helpful as well.

Pros: nice scenery
Cons: management need to look into staff and how they communicate with people
Location: good
i was not happy with some of the staff. they were hard to communicate with. the bed in our room was very uncomfortable and the pillows very hard. also we could not lock the back door. and we told the person at the front desk.
