Nicest staff I've ever experienced on a vacation

Posted Jan 24, 2015
The resort is extremely small. Only 2 bars, 1 pool and 3 a la carts. It is however beautiful. We upgraded to an ocean view sweet with a jacuzzi tub on the patio and it was amazing. I can not say enough about how great the staff were. The food in the buffet was repetitive and mediocre at best but the a la carts were phenomenal (especially the Mexican restaurant). I was not overly faund of the beach as it was very small and closed in. Trying to tan on the beach itself was difficult because it is covered entirely by Palm trees. I would recommend this resort to anyone who doesn't mind a small beach and wants a quiet place to relax. There is really not much to do on the resort but the entertainment was great (specifically a Michael Jackson show that honestly blew my mind and every one else who watched) I'm not even a fan of Michael Jackson and I couldn't believe it. On a side note I recommend to everyone staying in cancun to avoid the taxis. There really was nothing wrong with the cabs (other than one unfortunate incident I had) but taking a bus is 1/10 the price as a taxi. You can travel anywhere in cancun for $1.00 USD on a bus. But taxis for the most part cost anywhere from $10.00 to $15.00 depending on where you go however they will try and take more from you if possible. The busses are safe and cosistant in price.

By far the worst I've encountered

Posted Jan 23, 2015
Pros: Anything
Cons: everything; starting with customer service.
Location: It was far from main attractions.
When we got to the Hotel we were greeted by a very nasty rude front desk staff. They should all be fired. They didn't even respond when we said Hello when approaching the desk. It were in a group and they didn't want to gives us rooms near by. The food was not authentic and not appealing. The Staff looked bored of their lives. Security was overwhelming. We felt harrassed by them. My sister got sick and they charged us the phone call to the doctor which took forever to get to our room. It was just a terrible experience. For this hotel, will never go back to Mexico.

Nice Hotel, Great Staff

Posted Jan 22, 2015
Pros: The hotel and grounds were very clean and well kept. Loved waking up to the parakeets. :)
Cons: Not sure that I would suggest any improvements. This was our first time in Cancun so we have nothing to compare to.
Location: Although there was a nice beach it was very small. You were out of the sun by 4:00 in the afternoon because of the sun setting behind the motel.
We stayed for 4 days and enjoyed our stay. The hotel if nice and CLEAN and staff was very helpful. The food choices were great, there is no reason for someone not to find something they liked. Coming from Minnesota we were a little disappointed that when the sun was setting the beach and pool were pretty much out of the sun around 4 in the afternoon. We learned to get up earlier to enjoy the sun as long as we could.

Not what you expect of a Cancun All Inclusive

Posted Jan 19, 2015
Small room with 2 double beds for a family of 4, food sub-par, small beach between canal and dock, all artificial juices/drinks, cheap brands, only water activity is pedal boat. Pool water is cold. 7 floors building had only 1 elevator and it was broken for 5+ hours, even seniors had to climb stairs that day. Definitely not the best Barcelo hotel in the Caribbean.

Amazing Hotel!

Posted Jan 18, 2015
My family and I just came back from a week in Cancun at the Barcelo Costa Cancun Resort and we LOVED it! It was our first time visiting Cancun and really didn't know what to expect of the city and the hotel. Let me tell you this, we had such an amazing time that we will be going back! They took SO much care of us at Barcelo Costa Cancun: MAGNIFICENTLY PROFESSIONAL and CARING staff, great kept grounds, great and vast selection of food, and entertainment that runs throughout the entire day! I highly recommend this place! They have a private beach that oversees Isla Mujeres, and also gives you most of the sun throughout the day; let me add that the sunrise and sunsets are beautiful on this side! The staff at the entrance of the hotel are greeters and security guards who make you feel welcomed as soon as you arrive. Next up is the people up at reception, they too are so welcoming and make sure to receive you and treat you like royalty. Now, onto the entertainers; these guys are at the hotel since 9 am doing all day activities with the people, whereas it is playing volleyball, beach soccer, or pool activities. At night, the hotel hosts a show, it takes place at 9pm, so make sure you have done your eating at the yummy restaurants and buffet to catch the show, you will enjoy them so much! Talking about food, the Albatros Buffet is amazing! Every night hosts a different food theme which keeps your taste buds entertained and excited. Everyone working at the restaurant is so welco

DOS DIAS EN CANCUN CON MI ESPOSA Y TRES HIJOS

Posted Jan 12, 2015
