Very reasonably priced resort!

Pros: It is a spacious and well kept resort. The pool & beach are very nice nice and the employees were friendly and helpful as well.
Cons: I wished they had a swim up bar.
Location: The location is a bit further down the strip but it was easy to get a cab as they were always available at the entrance to the resort.
I stayed for 3 days in mid July at this resort and enjoyed it very much. It is a spacious and well kept resort. The pool and beach are very nice. The only thing that I wished they had was a swim up bar. But they did have waitresses that came around taking drink orders. I would recommend this resort as it was very reasonably priced, the food was really good, and the employees were friendly and helpful as well.

Pros: nice scenery
Cons: management need to look into staff and how they communicate with people
Location: good
i was not happy with some of the staff. they were hard to communicate with. the bed in our room was very uncomfortable and the pillows very hard. also we could not lock the back door. and we told the person at the front desk.

Best Week!!

Pros: Beach was amazing, always plenty of sunbeds & lots of cocktails!!
Cons: Better selection of food.
Myself & a couple of friends stayed here for a week after doing two weeks in the US. It was nice & relaxing with everything you needed. The staff were always very helpful. Close to the main part of town so pretty cheap for a taxi. They have an onsite guy orgainising club nights out if that's your thing or you can stay at the hotel & Raul & Reuben at the beach bar will look after you...any drink you want they can do & also very entertaining guys!!

Very small and old hotel

Pros: The food was pretty good.
The hotel is very small. The pool is small and in desperate need of repairs. The beach area is terrible with all the boats passing near by. We had to call 4 days in a row for our a/c to be repaired. They did attend to it right away but the next day we were back to the same problem. We rented a van for 1 day and had to return it because when we got in it a whole bunch of lights where lit. The check engine, the tires and something else. One of the guys had the audacity to tell us to go the gas station and put air in the tires ourselves. That's when we decided to return it. I have stayed at much better resorts for the same price in the past. Also, some things are not included. Make sure to find out with the staff in the hotel.

Great hotel, on the beach

Pros: The staff were brilliant and the self-service snack bar had food and soft drinks available 24hrs a day.
Cons: An ice-cream bar would have been nice.
Location: Close to the airport, shopping and nightlife. Plenty of activities and trips available nearby.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was well maintained and nicely presented. The food in the main buffet restaurant was generally good, although my daughter, being a very fussy eater, stuck mainly to the pasta station. We didn't try the other 3 restaurants in the evenings as a booking was required before 3pm and we usually forgot. The entertainment staff were great. They kept the more active amongst us busy during the day and accompanied guests to various nightclubs at night after the nightly entertainment programme had finished. The gym was well equipped and the spa facilities were good.

Location: Jungle tour is very close by.
Note: if you get the "Ocean front" option, this doesn't necessarily mean you will be on the first floor with a hammock just outside your door. "Ocean front" rooms include rooms on any level that face the ocean. Still a good experience, very clean, staff was helpful. Make sure to reserve dinner restaurants in the morning, if you sleep in there might not be room when you wake up.

Avoid This Resort

Not what it looks like! The beach is horrible and right next to the main intercoastal waterway. The smell of diesel fuel is everywhere. I have seen better breakfast buffets at highway motels. I was repeatedly told at check in my room would be ready in another 20 minutes and then another 20 minutes and so on. I actually had to book another resort and leave this place, avoid it

EXPECTED BETTER

Pros: The pool area was beautiful and big plenty of room to swim
Cons: Steps to walk in the pool, closed pool at a later time, Also Airconditioning the hotel loung and lobbies, A Ferry from hotel Barcelo to Isla Mujeres.
Location: Their were not many things to do near by needed to travel on tours far away to do things for the day just swimming and eating husband was bored!
First of all I upgraded and paid extra to have a beach front view they stuck me in a corner room with a little view of the beach and no balcony, the next window in my room was a view of a great big ugly adjacent 's WALL. some of the lamps in my room didn't work, and the room was small for the price. The hotel itself did not have airconditioning like the lobby, hall ways, elevators, only the rooms were cool and thank god for that cuz CANCUN is very hot and muggy. The check in staff did not respond to our request like when I ask for a wake up call never happened luckly I woke up on my own or I would have missed my flight back home! There was 2 restaurants and 1 buffet style restaurant, although it was an all inclusive hotel and the meals were free we needed to call the restaurant of your choice early like before 10:00 a.m. to reserve a spot due to the restaurants were to small to accomodate all guest. The buffet style restaurant was very small and was not airconditioned so it was very muggy and hot unconfortble, food was not great, cold most of the time and they served almost the same variety of food every day. I Expected Better

Disappointing beach

Pros: People seemed nice, but they were nice outside the hotel too..
Cons: The food was mostly fast food Beds were small and very hard to sleep one
Location: We went to a snorkeling trip with Snorkeling Adventure, that was great! Coco bongo club was fun!
The beach was the smallest I've been to, full of sea weeds! power boats passing by all the time, the constant noise and smell if gasoline was making it even worse!
