Pros: The pool and hotel staff were amazing! !!
Cons: Softer beds.
Location: This was at the quiet end of the hotel zone which was perfect for a relaxing vacation.
Check in was quick but the girls behind the desk were unwelcoming and failed to set a positive tone for the trip, they didn't provide any information about the hotel amenities or anything. Luckily the bell hop explained things to me that I believe should have been handled at the front desk. I had to visit front desk 3 timesand each time left me disappointed in the attitude of staff. The girls providing bar service at the pool were awesome and remembered me and my son daily and had refills coming nonstop. The staff in the restaurant were phenomenal....I cannot say enough about how welcoming they were and their eagerness to make you happy. Sadly I found the majority of travelers failed to tip the staff which astonished me as they worked extremely hard. The beds were a little hard but I got used to it. Rooms were clean. The grounds and beachfront was clean as well. Attention to detail was evident.

Pros: Clean. Honest. Beach was close to hotel and very clean.
Cons: Food, beds, and air conditioning.
Location: Casino was next door, but the buy in was minimum of $50, resturaunts and town super close to shopping as well.
It was scheduled last minute trip it was very clean, but our room smelled very musty, and our air conditioner didn't work. The food variety somehow felt as though we ate the same thing breakfast, lunch, and dinner, until we finally went out in town and ate. The Staff was extremely helpful and personable. The beds were really hard. The all inclusive only seemed to be so brands of liquor which was disappointing. The desk with all the activities was a great idea to schedule excursions. Not a ton of people around which was nice.

Pros: I like the set up of the resort. Large open pool. Great bar by the beach. Bartenders there were always great. Kept you nice a happy.
Cons: The rooms were out dated.. Moldy and you could tell they needed to be re done. A swim up bar would be great...
Location: We took the bus to the bar/club area. Though it should be said the dollar you pay is round trip!!!!!! mandala bar and beach is beautiful!!!!!!!
Over all it was ok..... The pool was nice. The girls at the front desk were not to friendly. Never had been to cancan and we had previously stayed at the rui palace in cabo. I was kinda expecting the same thing........ Barcelo costa is very kid friendly. There were constant kids yelling and screaming. Jumping in the pool and splashing. (Great for lil ones) not at all the the rui. If you want a fast trip and going in couples...... This might be the place for you. Not to expense. But you get what u pay for. If u jump on the bus and go down about 20 miles to dolphins beach. It's a free piece of paradise that u can go and swim, tan and hang out. Much nicer than the beach at Barcelo. Over all I would stay again. Pool staff if really great. The food was ok. Nothing great. But the service in the buffet area was always great. Zoel from expedia in the lobby was also great about helping us figure out stuff to do in town and excursions.

We were very pleased with the staff and service we received. It is a beautiful hotel with great food! The beach and pool were wonderful! Do not read any of the negative reviews. This hotel was great and we were very pleased with our stay! The activities were fun and the specialty restaurants were easy to get into for a reservation. We would go there again!

Cons: The only thing that I can think is the beach it was a little dirty.
Location: You can go to the city of Cancun in the public transportation is very safe also you have acces to the malls and the night clubs.
The Hotel is really nice the employees are wonderful especially the host from the Albatross .I will recommended looking forward to go back next year. Thank you for all your kindness.

Cons: Buffet food
I spent 5 days at this hotel and enjoyed every one of them. The staff is very helpful and friendly, I would go back just for this. The food at the buffet was not very good but the restaurants were good. I wish they put a little more effort on the buffet quality - while the offering was good the quality and taste of the food was poor. The pool was great, no shortage of lounge chairs and the servers were constantly looking after you. Very nice beach with lovely palm trees, here again there were always chairs available. Overall except for the buffet, this is a very nice hotel at a great location.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel… for the price is not bad. The only thing I would say is about the food menu after my third day there I noticed that they didn't have as much variety. Also, the drinks sucks and please note I'm not a picky person and wan't looking for fancy drinks.

Pros: Great food, friendly staff, clean rooms, wide selection of food and lots of Corona beer and pinacoladas.
Cons: Wish we had free wifi as part of the all-inclusive package.
Location: We went to Mercado 28 and the Hotel zone - Plaza las islas. It was also beside the Embarkadero where you can take boat trips to Islas Mujeres.
It was our first time in Mexico. This hotel was recommended by a friend who is based in Guadelajara. So my wife and I decided to try it. From the time we arrived at the hotel, we were treated well by the staff. We were allowed to take advantage of the buffet breakfast as soon as we arrived at 7am. Front desk Manager (Isis) got us a room by 9am (when normal check-in time is 3pm). All of the buffet restaurants offered excellent food. We so full each time. The Lobby bar and Snack bar also provided non-stop food and drinks. We enjoyed having drinks by the pool and beach. It was spring break season, but it was all good. They also had nightly entertainment which encouraged guests to get out of their rooms. Had fine dining at two of the restaurants and had great fun both times. Our room was very clean and organized. Hotel location was good. Took R-2 bus which allowed us to see other parts of the city. We love this hotel and recommend it.
