“Dying to go back!”

Our stay during Christmas week was excellent! We got two rooms linked together and an ocean view. We watched sunrise every morning. It was a very friendly place and staff were very helpful. We were pleased with the food especially El Mallorca and La Claraboya Seafood Restaurant. I also have to mention about the waiter, Nathanel, at the Mexico Lindo. His presentation on the Irish coffee was Marvellous! Audry provided excellent service at the lobby desk. Thanks again to all the staff at Barcelo Tucancun. We will definitely be back soon. We give them five stars*****!

Had a lot of fun there! Ala carte restaurants were very good! Service was great! A lot of fun people there from all over the world! There is especially great beach there which has just been restored! Just can't wait to go back! One of the greatest inside malls was just across the street (with lots of air conditioning!)

“Honeymoon trip”

2 weeks honeymoon. Seaside view on north tower was pretty nice. AC wasn't working when we walked into the room, but one phone call to reception and maintenance was in the room within 10mins and fixed it. There was plenty of food available, I liked the hamburgers especially during the lunch. Breakfast are pretty nice with lot to choices and coffee is OK. Lunch and buffer dinners have a bit repetition, and most of the food don't have any chili in it, ala carte dinners were ok for most of the nights, but after a week evening dinner in downtown is a must have experience. Main pool area is quite loud with party music playing, but second pool is a bit more nicer for leisure time. Hotel bars offer pretty nice list of free drinks for the all inclusive. Shopping mall is right next to the hotel, and the bus to downtown is really cheap, so trip to Wallmart or fleemarket is a must too. No need to use taxis at all (since the are very expensive compared to bus).

Villa room is the way to go, especially if going with a party of 4 or more!!

“Amazing Resort”

We can't wait to go back. All-inclusive package was definitely worth it..the hotel is kept very clean and staff are all very friendly. Mini-fridges are restocked everyday with beer, which is nice to take to the pools or beaches. At their bars, the drinks aren't made very strong, so order a shot with your drinks. Daily activities by the pool are very fun, and staff walk around with exotic animals for you to take a picture with. Very nice mall right across the street from the hotel, and another nice outdoor mall within walking distance of the hotel. Or if you dont feel like walking you can take a bus for a dollar. My advice about booking things with aquaworld is to do it earlier during your visit in case of high winds. We wanted to go snorkeling and booked it a day in advance and the next day it was too windy to go. Overall it was a great stay and we can't wait to go back!

“Relaxing Fun”

Hotel and staff were very nice. They really need to have more of a children's activity/pool area. The shows in the evening were very entertaining however, after 10:00 the sidewalks are pretty much rolled up unless you want to travel into town to one of the night clubs which they promote all day poolside. The timeshare sales people are absolutely infuriating at both the airport and the hotel. Not only are they persistent they are not at all honest with you about their true intentions. The restaurants were all very good and we ate at all of them. I believe Breakfast was my favorite. Although most mornings the buffet had similar selections, there were enough to have something different every day if you chose to. I would stay here again definitely..

“Relaxed Atmosphere. Great Staff!”

My sister and I took a long weekend get-away in February. Our idea of vacation is sitting my the pool/ocean with a book in hand, iPod on, then spend the evening lounging, having a few drinks, hanging out with fun people. Barcelo Tucancun was PERFECT for that! The atmosphere was extremely relaxed and we felt we could just be ourselves and have a great time. The room was clean and good enough for the time spent there (sleeping!). The drinks were great, bartenders were even better, and the pool staff was so much fun! I will definitely be going back...what a great price!

“Best Vacation”

This hotel is great. Everyone was so nice and helpful from the first minute. We arrived 3 hours before check-in and they took care of our bags and told us to go eat lunch and relax. The food was good and the reservation system is very easy. The servers are great, especially if you give them a small tip... The bartenders are great and they do a good job keeping up with everyone... The pools and beach areas are nice and clean and the ocean was great fun... There is a lifeguard stand right in front of the hotel, so feel comfortable going into the ocean...The rooms are comfortable and the air conditioner works great. We had no problems with the cleaning service and we always had clean towels... This was one of our most relaxing vacations and if we go back to Cancun we will stay here again.
