Beautiful retreat away from it all!

Beautiful, quiet, romantic setting. Amazing staff made the trip exemplary. Better for trips without kids-- not much for them to do, and truly it's more for couples and adult groups

The stay was fabulous! The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the view is spectacular. Alex created us when we arrived and he continued to be a wealth of information throughout the trip. The breakfasts that are included were the best meals of the day! And Silva, who served us, was delightful. The happy hour at the other restaurant was lots of fun and we had a great band one of the nights. We spent every night relaxing by the water with cocktails. Elvis brought us dinner, drinks and apps and greatly enhanced the fun for the night. He has a great sense of humor.

Great hotel for a relaxing escape to Isla Mujeres
Posted Jan 4, 2013
Pros: The views are unbeatable
Cons: Distance to Isla Town at the other end of the island, however transportation via cab is easy
Location: The location is perfectly quiet for evening relaxation and sleeping, but requires transportation to get into town.
Casa de los Suenos sits on a hill overlooking the bay between Isla Mujeres and Cancun, and the view is stunning. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, and comfortable, clean rooms. It is at the far ("quiet") end of Isla Mujeres, necessitating either cabs or a golf cart to get to Isla Town at the other end, where the shops and restaurants are located, but cabs came within minutes of being called. The on-site food is quite good - breakfasts and lunch are lovely. The cocktails at the bar are satisfyingly strong. The small, intimate atmosphere of the Casa allows the staff to know guests by name and recall their preferences, which leads to a very personalized stay. There is no beach at the hotel, but the over-water deck with palapas and lounge chairs and stairs leading into the crystal blue ocean is much better than a beach (no sand in your clothes!) and breathtakingly beautiful. The infinity pool is small but perfect. We had a great time!

Perfect Isla Mujers getaway.

Pros: Decor and overall ambience
Cons: Choice of pool music
Location: Quiet part of island , not a sand beach
Exquisite small hotel, beautifully decorated in contemportary mexican decor, nice vibe, cool adjacent beach bar w goid live music for sunset drinks. Only recommendation is to get rid of that awful American pop radio played by the pool . Staff fantastic, quiet part of island, quite a place.

Island paradise
Posted Jan 28, 2013
Pros: The views. From each room and every nook and cranny of the hotel were beautiful views of the sea and the skyline of Cancun on the other side
Cons: Piped in music at the pool....Not necessary. The music was tasteful and it was not loud - it just wasn't needed in our opinion.
Location: At the southern tip of Isla Mujeres - a bit removed from the rest of the tourist area.
This is a boutique hotel, small and gorgeous. The vistas from any location are breathtaking. The rooms are beautiful - all of them have a great view, and easy acess to the pool. The food - outstanding. It exudes a quiet and calming kind of luxury. The staff is very accomodating. A perfect island experience! What it is NOT is over the top fancy and ostentatious; also it is not a "playground" kind of hotel. My husband was thrilled that there was no TV in the room!

Gorgeous casa, friendly staff, gourmet meals
Posted Jan 10, 2013
Pros: Total tranquility. Romantic. Beauty everywhere you look. Friendly, helpful staff. Super clean. Gourmet meals from great American & Mexican chefs
Cons: No beach. You need a cab (about $7.50) or electric cart to get into town, or else walk or bike the 3-plus miles.
Location: It is not handy to the village, but if what you want is quiet, it's perfect.
My husband & I spent 5 nights at the casa simply to get away and relax. It was perfect -- quiet all day except for music that wafts on the breeze. One wall of each room is floor-to-ceiling glass doors that lead to your patio or balcony. Our room was on the 2nd floor, so we had a large private-feeling balcony with a superb view. Even lying in bed, we could see the Caribbean with Cancun in the distance, and at night we fell asleep listening to soft waves breaking on the shore. And no bugs! The helpful, friendly staff are attentive but not intrusive. You're encouraged to make your self at home, ("Mi casa est su casa"). As owners Jason and Patty put it, it's like having your own $6 million dollar home to enjoy for a time. You can use free bikes, kyaks, snorkling gear & eat gourmet food by the pool (anything on the menu is free for breakfast) or down closer to the sea. There are no TVs or phones in the rooms, but there's great free WIFI throughout. The large lobby area is open to the pool & the sea beyond, & also has a big-screen TV you can watch from comfy sunken couches. There's a large deck for sunning down by the sea, & stairs into the sea, which at THAT point is 3-4 feet deep. There's no beach, but the snorkling is great! Though the casa was hosting a huge Super Bowl bash the day we left, this is NOT Party Central. It's a serene place to get AWAY from Party Central. But if you want to stage a unique super romantic (pop-the-question) event, the staff is up to it!

Very Enjoyable Week!

What a pleasant surprise. My wife and I were looking for a quiet and enjoyable get a way from winter. Our first trip to Isla Mujeres. This beautiful small boutique hotel was wonderful. No beach but that didn't bother us at all. Great deck and pier for swimming and water activities. Food was excellent. Coffee and juice delivered to the room before breakfast! We biked around the island and walked every day. We enjoyed three different rooms. All very nice. Enjoy.

Comfort and relax in Isla Mujeres

I stayed in November 2012. I found this place very placid and comfortable. Well managed property and very attentive staff trying to help guests in everything. Nice view of Cancun. Well equipped dock.
