Perfect Hotel - Nice and Quiet

Posted Jul 30, 2014
Pros: The hotel is quiet and very peaceful. Friendly staff.
Location: The Luxury Shopping center is a 5 minute walk, La Isla is also about 15 a minute minute walk.
My girlfriend and I stay in Casa Turquesa for 3 nights and the experience was amazing. The hotel staff was very attentive and willing to help at every corner (especially Missy). The room was big and and view of the ocean is 2nd to none.

Great Birthday Vacation!

Posted Jul 24, 2014
Pros: - Very romantic, quiet, and authentic experience - Rooms are very large, balcony includes Jacuzzi and bed, bathrooms are spacious
Cons: - Not allowed to bring any food or snacks into the hotel or your room (security will stop you)
My girlfriend and I booked our Cancun vacation at this resort for my birthday this past week. It was our first trip to Cancun and we chose to stay at Casa Turquesa because of the reviews. It upheld everything that we could possibly imagine. The hotel was booked full during our stay, however, still was intimate and felt as if it was our own house and grounds. Ernesto, Miguel, Sergio, Dina, and others went above and beyond to treat us like family and handle our every need! This place is very quiet and beautiful, if you want an authentic and amazing stay choose this hotel! We were told by staff they are removing the tennis courts and adding 90 additional rooms this year in the vacant space near the front of the property. You can see the reception area on the way to the celebrity restaurant is already being worked on. We were very surprised and hope that the authenticity and individualized service is not impacted!

We are delighted that you found this hidden jewel amongst the huge hotels in Cancun and thank you for your great review! We are delighted to read that you enjoyed our personalized service and that had a great stay with us. Rest assured that we are not removing the tennis court and adding rooms - this is wishful thinking of a member of staff eager to have more guests like yourselves with us! We are not currently carrying out any renovations or building work - Celebrity Restaurant has recently moved location and the previous area is now out of use. We hope that you will come back and see us again soon!

Nice Hotel, Terrible AC!

Posted Jul 22, 2014 on Hotels.com
This hotel would have been considered wonderful if the AC worked! I thought i reserved a room, not a sauna?!? Even a shower only helped for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes you were sweating again. Unless you like sweating (and trust me you will do plenty of that as soon as you step outside under the Cancun sun) don't get a room from this place. Casa Turquesa, needs to fix their AC's in order for customers to have a comfortable stay there and acquire returns. Casa Turquesa, you have big bathrooms and spacious rooms but semi-dated style shouldn't be all, your focus should shift to what's really necessary in Cancun, cold air!

We apologize for the issues that you experienced with your air conditioning during your stay - we have now replaced several a/c units in the hotel and all are functioning correctly. We note that apart from the problem with the air con that you mention the hotel would have been considered wonderful so we are glad to know that you obviously enjoyed the general aspects of the hotel and service but that the issue with the air con affected your review. We hope that you will return in the future so that we can demonstrate our commitment to customer service and you will see that the air con problem has been resolved.

Excellent hotel to stay

Casa Turquesa its truly a Great place to stay in Cancun. The staff is very helpful (Dina, Walter, Missey), the rooms are beautiful and spacious, the beach is super close, the pool is also great and the "centro" or downtow area is only 20 min away.

We stayed in Room 108 and enjoyed the location. It is very private and relaxing. We visited Cancun with our two young children and they had a great time at the beach/pool. Isla Shopping Center was within walking distance. Our room was the junior suite and was ok for the price we paid. We did notice the difference in the other rooms available- the more you pay, the better view/special treats. Our room located in the Planta Baja was simple but served our needs being that we spent more time out exploring. Although I did joke with my husband stating that it probably served as the housekeeper's room when this was a home. The staff was ok. Consider visiting Artes Culinarias del Caribe Hacienda Sisal for dinner that is just within walking distance.

Thank you for sharing your comments regarding your recent stay with us. The beauty of the Junior Suite Partial Ocean View is that the rooms are located on the ground floor with direct access to the pool area which is convenient for some guests. We hope that you will return to Casa Turquesa in the near future.

Great Boutique Hotel

Posted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: Everything!
Cons: Nothing immediately comes to mind.
Location: Great location nestled between larger hotels...but it seemed isolated. Good food and shopping nearby. Right on the bus line for easy access to town.
I found this hotel by chance when looking for something a little different in the Cancun area. I certainly found it with Casa Turquesa! Part quiet beach hotel...part art gallery...with great food and drink...and a wonderful staff. Missy and Walter were very helpful in finding the best places to eat and things to do. We spent five days there and wished we had booked it for longer. We will go back!!!

June stay 2014

Posted Jun 30, 2014
Cons: Wifi
Casa Turquesa is a quaint hotel, and was very quiet in late June. Our room was not ready at check in, so we had drinks by the pool served by Ernesto; very nice guy who brought us pico de gallo & chips on the house. Pool area is lovely with loungers & umbrellas, and steps down to the beach are palapas with loungers as well. Next door is high end mall, but if you keep to your right on the main street, there are lots of restaurants, OXOs, and about 3 blocks is La Isla an outdoor mall designed to look like Venice complete with gondolas, and there's restaurants, shops, an aquarium etc. We had a lovely breakfast at the hotel, and the coffee was quite good. Our room was 205, and it was spacious, very large bathroom with sitting area, walk in shower, separate marble bath and closed off toilet area. Jacuzzi on our deck was a nice option. No complaints, just a few snafus with paperwork, but Missey oversaw it got sorted out. As per the complaints of the expense of the Wifi, it really is a hit and a miss to work, and at the rate per day, it might be easier to go to a local restaurant for a drink and get caught up on email. Overall lovely short stay at C.T., and Missey in particular was extremely helpful with us getting to our next accommodations and offering advice etc. Thank you Missey. It's staff like this that invite returning customers back.

Fantastic, relaxing, quiet, romantic, unique

Posted Jun 22, 2014 on Hotels.com
Probably one of my favorite hotels I've ever visited. Huge room with a nice bathroom, private spa bath on the patio to relax in, beautiful pool, and best of all - quiet and relaxing! It seems that this hotel definitely caters more to couples rather than larger families with kids. The art inside the hotel makes it a unique place to stay. The pool is small but really nice - and we never saw more than 4-5 other people at the pool at the same time as us. The beach is beautiful! Much better than many other places just outside of Cancun. Good location - walking distance to the shopping and restaurant area. We stayed here for just a few days before our week timeshare at a large resort began - and the whole week we wished we had stayed at Casa Turquesa the whole time! Really recommend this place.
