Great place and a great vacation for the family

Pros: Great beach and pools for adults and kids. Kids club provides lots of crafts and fun things for the kids to do during the day and night in addition
Cons: It could be updated a bit
Location: Close to the airport. 15 minutes
We just finished our 8th year at this hotel. The entire staff is always friendly and helpful. I have kids that are 7 and 10 years of age. We just got home yesterday and this was our 8th year in a row at Crown and we will be back again next year. Great activities for kids. Great pools and beach. The entertainment people are fantastic with kids. As I mentioned, this was our 8th year and if you have a baby under the age of 4 there baby area was fantastic too. My wife was very worried but the staff is great with all kids and the entire resort is very safe.

Average hotel, not worse the money.

Had to wait for a room 2 hours. Room condition was poor and requires major renovations. Had to call the maintenance person 3 times for 3 different issues with the room. Room was not cleaned 2 days on the road until my wife asked. Food menu lacks variety and quality. Please careful from buying into the Golden shores membership, it's a complete fraud as they falsely inform you about benefits and values.

Excellent hotel

Cons: Le seul défaut est que personne ne parle le francais. Je ne comprends pas pourquoi le transport n'était pas inclus dans le forfait de mon voyage.
Location: Tout ètait parfait.
Très bon service. Excellente nourriture. Bord de mer toujours très propre ainsi que les piscines.

Food was bland, couldn't reserve the other restaurants because phone lines were always busy and room service food was cold by the time you got it. I was harassed when I was dragged in doing a time share thing after I said no, but I thought I was going into a sales thing for discounts on excursion. Staff at the pool, bars and food places was all great and nice. I thought there would be more to do then going to the pool or beach. I personally wouldn't go back to this resort unfortunately.

Hard beds. Little cups to drink from. Slippery marble tile floors. Steep wheelchair ramps. Average food with little day to day variety. Leaking ceilings all over the resort. Mini fridge has 2 beers per day free. Expired soda cans as well. Excellent staff though. No shade at pool. Hotel guests reserve beach chairs starting at 6am daily with no management controls aside from a sign which is ignored.

Beautiful hotel right in front of the beach.

Pros: Everything, food was delicious, drinks very good, service excellent.
Cons: They need to be more prepared for a storms.. My daugther's room was complitly flouded. Good thing they change her in to another room.
Location: Location is closed to the town and there is a lot of things to do. We took a tour to Xcaret, Tulum, Xel-Ha and Xplor.
My experience was horrible we had a tropical storm it was raining like crazy and the wind was really bad. We were not able to enjoy the beach.

Decent hotel for family travel vacation

Pros: The food
Cons: Not having to book in advance, internet.
Hotel is ok for a family vacation with kids, main restaurant has a good variety of food, what we didn't like is that for the specialty restaurants you have to book in advance 24 hours, not very convenient at all. Pools are good for the kids. The internet is pricey and the reception at our room was pretty terrible, almost DSL speeds.
