The hotel was good, probably some improvement can be done at the bathrooms. But was good to be there.

Close to Beach, Nice PoolPosted Dec 4, 2014
Pros: Very Nice Pool and close to Beach
Cons: Hotel should have a system in place to check all facilities are working properly before guest enters.
Location: 5 Minutes walk from Main road for Public transport. Money exchange is also nearby.
Overall good stay but 1. Electrical connections to coffee maker and microwave in the room were faulty and no one rectified. 2. Please note they provide coffee refill only once and then you need to buy it for next day. Could be surprising. 3 All the hotel staff in restaurants wants TIP and sometimes could be embarrassing. 4. The BD travel representative was very helpful and arranged good sightseeing trips. 5. Hotel is close to main road where you can get bus to go to town 6. Restaurant seems to priced on higher side compared to quality of food and type of service.

My paradise Vacation!Posted Dec 1, 2014
This is my third Year cumming to this hotel, I actually like the Emporio new managing way better, its more customer service and clean. Everyone was very nice and willing to help in all aspects. I do wish there was more option getting to and from your hotel and lobby being slightly handicap stairs were a killer for me, but other than that every thing was great.. Just make sure you put down the correct amount of people in you're room or they will charge you for you're mistake... But the Manager in charged made it up...

it's satisfying overallPosted Dec 1, 2014
Pros: buffet breakfast was outstanding but a little bit expensive. beach is extremely beautiful and cozy.
Cons: wifi in the room is bad, hardly usable. we have to go to the lobby to access internet. there is no renewal for items like bathing kits or coffee kit
Location: has a very nice beach at back, close to cancun city
the hotel is good in location, beach, facility and services. staff were helpful but we were not exactly sure about the charges made on us so there were some confusions. room was ok but relatively small, and lacking places to sit (we were not allowed to use a balcony where couches are available). but generally speaking the hotel is a pretty nice place to stay.

Very nice hotel on the beach.Posted Dec 1, 2014
Pros: It was right on the beach, which was a white-sand beach with adequate number of palapas and beach service (food and drink).
Cons: More wait staff to improve guest service - both timliness and quality of food/drink service. Also, better wifi service.
Location: Everything in the hotel zone is easily accessible by cab or bus.
We stayed at this same hotel a few times in the past when it was the Royal Mayan, a time share resort. We were told it's now owned by a Spanish company and there are many plans to upgrade the hotel in the future to include several restaurants and room upgrades. Although the hotel itself is as nice as in the past, we didn't feel the guest service was as good. The pool restaurant was adequate and the hotel's on-site Italian Restaurant was very good. Of course it's easy to catch a cab or bus in front of the hotel to easily get to shopping and restaurants or other hotels in the hotel zone. The hotel has a little on-site store similar to a small 7-11 store which was very convenient. The hotel also had a travel desk ran by Best Day Transportation which provided excellent service.
