"Excellente!!", Absolute Paradise!!Posted Mar 5, 2014
Pros: Everything!!! The Excellence is simply amazing!! I think they should rename the lobby bar to "Ceasers", as "Ceaser" is the finest bartender.
Cons: Nothing, the place is perfect!!!
Location: We never leave the resort as there is not reason too! Everything you want or need is at The Excellence.
My husband and I have just returned from 6 glorious days at The Excellence. This was our second visit, and it was even better then the first! The staff could not be any friendlier, rooms are immaculate, food is amazing, and entertainment all day and night, every single day! Beautiful beach, gorgeous pool area/grounds. I highly recommend this fine resort. You will not be disappointed!! Simply wonderful :-)

Extreme indulgencePosted Mar 2, 2014
Pros: Indian Restaurant was excellent; tilapia ceviche was the best.
Cons: The Mexican Restaurant left us cold; very limited menu. The tapas restaurant could be improved by not serving all entrees on toast + offer'g sangria!
Location: Not much to do nearby but that was OK with us.
We had a wonderful time at the Excellence Isla Mujeres. Everything was thoughtfully done; the staff could not have been more attentive; weather was out of this world!

Best Honeymoon EverPosted Feb 28, 2014
Pros: Room, Grounds, Beach, Food, Staff, and Accommodations.
Cons: Could use larger fitness center and smoothie bar.
We visited this wonderful resort for our honeymoon. We spent seven nights and could not have been more pleased. The grounds are amazing and the staff is equally fantastic. We stayed at the Excellence Club (highly recommended) and the room alone was worth the trip. Food is five-star and the private beach is a major plus. We are both big coffee fans and the first couple of days had difficulty getting good quality caffeine, but rooms come equipped with espresso machines and staff is willing to make latte/mocha. That was the cherry on top of an already wonderful vacation.

Gorgeous & Relaxing!Posted Feb 26, 2014
Pros: Beautiful beach - seagrass was not an issue, as stated in other reviews. The spa was amazing.
Cons: The food, especially dinners. Why is there no amazing and fresh caught seafood?
Aside from the mix up with our room upon arrival, which was very frustrating, we loved this resort. Everything was top notch with the exception of the food, which was mediocre. The spa was unforgettable and the service was top notch. We would definitely go back.

Fabulous honeymoon spot!Posted Feb 25, 2014
Pros: all-inclusive food and drink (great liquor selection and tons of amazing food), adults only, the pools, being on the beach, the fabulous staff!
Cons: We booked a rooftop terrace room, and although it was beautiful, our room was a very long walk from the hotel lobby. An error we made while booking.
Location: Only 20 minutes from the Cancun airport, yet very secluded. We took the ferry and visited Isla Mujeres for a day--a must!
My husband and I wed in September and waited 5 months before honeymooning at Excellence Playa Mujeres. It was well worth the wait!! We booked a 7 day, 6 night trip for February, and the weather was perfect. Excellence offers so many awesome services for its' guests that we rarely felt the need to venture outside of the hotel area. We were at the pool every day--either in the main area by the swim up bar, or floating in the Lazy River. You'll want to get to the pool early to score the best spot(s). Scheduled activities including beach volleyball, ping pong, etc. made for a fun day. The hotel also schedules themed activities in the evening hours, too. Every restaurant is excellent, but the breakfast buffet was a favorite of ours. You can roll out of bed, eat outside, then head to the pool! The room service was also a favorite as the hotel offers a variety of food until late.

Best Service Ever!Posted Feb 25, 2014
Pros: We had a swim-up room in building 7, great proximity to everything; loved sitting out in the morning looking at the lazy river from the patio.
Location: Quick ride from the airport; very secure with 2 check points to enter the hotel compound. Took the ferry to Isla Mujeres for a day trip, lots of fun!
Beautiful hotel, amazing staff, not too big and not too small. Rooms were great, food was good with many choices, and bars everywhere with great specialty drinks.

Great hotel with every need taken care ofPosted Feb 23, 2014
Pros: Spotlessly clean, friendly staff, a great way to de-stress.
Cons: Can't think of anything.
A truly obliging staff, wonderful grounds and rooms, beautiful beach, top-shelf liquors, delicious meals. Even though the hotel was near capacity, there were no lines for anything, always chairs available by the pool and beach, etc.
