Family wedding stay

Posted Apr 16, 2014
Pros: Everything, but the fish tacos poolside were to die for.
Cons: Room air conditioning
Location: All kinds of activities but who needed them.
One of our family members was married here last weekend. The staff, food, pool, beach and all the facilities were outstanding. Everyone went out of their way to make sure the stay was outstanding and even the weather cooperated, perfect days and crystal clear nights.

The building is too old. Foods are limited. The beach is great with bunch of garbages. But excellent staffs and services.

F.A. Condesa Not too shabby

Posted Apr 16, 2014
Pros: Fish tacos, super friendly waitering and housekeeping staff, worthy of tipping!! Excellent family oriented resort.
Cons: The building is a little dated and worn, but not terrible.
Location: Xel-Ha was pretty cool, but pricier than I expected for the Tulum/Xel-Ha daytrip package. Beach is really nice.
My wife and I just went for our honeymoon, immediately following our wedding. Needless to say upon arrival we were very tired....and vulnerable. Right off the hop upon check in they up-sold us on the Governor suite, $450 USD extra for a seven day stay. Sticker shock yes, but the payoff was worth it in the end to witness beautiful sunrises every morning right from bed. BEWARE of Time Share sales. The "Concierge" we met with upon arrival wasn't a concierge at all, but in fact a Sales woman for Fiesta Americana's "points program" and time share. So being that neither of us had been to Cancun before, coupled with the fact we were very very tired from our wedding, we fell hook line and sinker for the bait for their "Presentation". They offered us half off massages at the hotel spa, half off excursions, which in hindsight isn't a terrible deal, if you can stand listening to someone babble on for 90 minutes on the second day of your 7 day honeymoon. That all being said, my wife and I could not take the sales pitch in its entirety and got up and walked out, much to the surprise of most of the sales staff, and their manager. I'm guessing we caused a glitch in the matrix per se, as it seemed most people just wait it out. Our patience however could not withstand it. Anyhow the rest of the stay was pretty good food was okay at best, with the exception of the Cevicheria. Get the fish tacos. Awesome. We practically lived off fish tacos for a week. The lasagna in the Italian resto was good.

Nice Hotel, Prime Location

Posted Apr 15, 2014
Pros: The location and the staff
Cons: The linens, the climate control, the food
Location: There are flea markets, and local restaurants close by.
My family stayed at this hotel while attending a wedding. The hotel is located in a prime location, the staff was very warm, friendly and helpful, however the actual hotel is a little outdated and could use some updates. Also, the food was not the freshest and the quality, not the best. The hotel rooms humidity level was also pretty high and you could feel the moisture in the room and in the linens that made the rooms smell a little musty. Overall, the hotel is nice. It's all inclusive, alcohol and room service included so I would recommend.

Not a place i would ever consider visiting again

Posted Apr 15, 2014
Pros: The beach was the only thing i like about the hotel.
Cons: This hotel needs major improvement on the food and drinks.
Location: The location of the hotel is okay
The staff was nice and friendly and most spoke a little English. The food was pretty bad compared to other places i stayed in Mexico and probably the worst of all. The rooms were small and had very small shower and bathroom. The AC was loud and not very efficient. The beach was the only thing i actually liked but not a lot of water activities. Overall i would not recommend this place and would never wanna visit this hotel again.

Nice hotel with a nice beach

Rooms and bathrooms can be a little more spacious. We booked an ocean front room but it was a bit far from the ocean and had no balcony. The evening shows were excellent, good staff, good food, overall would recommend it for families.

Great food and services, out of dated room

Posted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: We loved the food, especially the buffets. We liked the pools, but wished that it would have better view of the ocean.
Cons: The room is very out of dated. The AC is very loud and cannot be auto-off. It took a long time to get warm shower water. The quilt is very heavy.
We enjoyed our 7 day family vacation with our 7 year old son and 3 year old daughter. The food is great. We have no complain, especially with the good variety of food in the buffet with the convenience for family with young kids. We did not get chance to go to the Italian restaurant because it does not allow kids after 7 PM and it is open only for dinner. The Mexican restaurant is good for the first time, so-so for second time. The Asian food is not authentic, but we enjoyed it. Be sure to order appetizer for every one because the entry is small portion. The kids club was fun for my son especially after 5 days of pool with us, he needed to play with peels. We paid hourly rate for my daughter to stay in the kids club for one day since she is not 4 yet. She enjoyed it too. We got to enjoy our time alone. The pools and beach are fun for all of us. It is easy to get drinks from the pool bar. We are not so happy about our room. First we are given a room on moon tower facing the pool, it was very noisy during the afternoon. Both of my kids needed to take a nap after morning pool time, we cannot rest well so we asked for a room change. We were given another room on 5th floor in sea tower. This time, we could not hear the pool noise, but the AC is very loud and the fan cannot be turned off automatically. We have to keep it on before we leave the room and turn it off after we came in. But this is very inconvenient especially at night. We cannot keep it off the whole night.
