Nice hotel, but too much up-selling

Posted Mar 2, 2015
Pros: Food was good. Great security on property at night. Bartenders were very friendly.
Cons: Get rid of the "personal concierge" sales reps in the lobby of the hotel.
Nice hotel for an all inclusive, but we had a bad start. They were overbooked and did not have the room type we reserved available. They were not very helpful or apologetic when we expressed our disappointment that we were not getting what we paid for. In addition, after we argued with the front desk about the issue and decided there was nothing we could do, we were ushered to one of their onsite sales reps that they camouflage as a "personal concierge." They present themselves as helpful guides to inform new guests that just checked in about all the amenities and layout of the property. They are actually only there to try to sell time shares (aka "information meeting, with free breakfast") and are very pushy trying to sell you packages for things to do outside the property, which they get compensated for. It took over an hour and the little bit of actual info they provided about the restaurants ended up being incorrect. Its tacky, a waste of time and gave a very poor first impression for a place that is a nice looking property. The food was good and the rest of the staff was very friendly.

Excellent hotel

The hotel is very nice. Food is good. Fish tacos are excellent. Only downside are the bathtubs in the room. They are a little high for shorter or heavy set people to get in and out of.

Excellent customer service, very clean and well maintained, pool is beautiful, breakfast buffet is great, fish tacos are amazing, top shelf liquor included. For dinner, the Mexican restaurant is great, the Italian restaurant is good, and Asian restaurant is mediocre, so it would be nice to have one more option.

Fourth stay at the Condesa. Nice place.

Posted Mar 1, 2015
Pros: Food was good, but the staff was outstanding.
Cons: Expedia, your website indicates pictures and details on oceanfront rooms at the Condesa with King beds. Apparently, this is not accurate.
Our stay was very nice. It's our third trip to the F. A. Condesa. Let's put it this way. The trip was nice from day two through six. The first day was the issue. We checked in and were put in an oceanview room. We told the desk clerk our reservation was for an oceanfront room. He said, there were no more oceanfront rooms or King beds. I was outraged. I found out later, he apparently didn't even know the layout of his own hotel. After spending the first night in a room we didn't want, we returned to the front desk the next morning and spoke to Leonardo, who is either a lead person or Asst. Manager. He cleared up the problem immediately. We were moved to an oceanfront room and the rest of the stay was wonderful. How can a desk clerk misstate so much information? I know his name, but won't divulge unless you ask me for it. We still like the Condesa!

Nice beach, good food, friendly staff

Posted Feb 28, 2015
Cons: We had a ocean front room, the view is breathtaking. But the glass door does not sealed very well. Lots of noise in the night when wind is strong
This resort is relatively small and good for a family stay. The staff are very friendly and provide very good services. In the February period, there is no lines to wait to go to restaurants, except for the Italian one. The beach is probably the best section in this area. There is a small gift shop to buy extra sun blocks if you run out. Every two hours or so, you need to put on sun block to avoid sun burn. We took the lesson after the first day there.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating

Posted Feb 28, 2015
Pros: Friendly staff, working hard and enjoying themselves which made the guest feel welcomed.
Cons: Temperature of food was lukewarm to cold but still tasted good.
Location: Never went off property
The staff went out of their way to ensure to got what you needed. I went to get ice for my room but the machine wasn't working. A staff member noticed there was any ice and directed me to the seventh floor but then asked for my room number and brought the ice to my room.
