Pros: It was in a convenient location and was clean.
Cons: We had a room on the same floor as the lobby and it is very loud at night when trying to sleep due to gatherings or people stumbling in late at night.
Location: There is a mall across the street with a convenience store as well. A short walk to a restaurant on the street called Tacun is worth it.
The beach front is clean with plenty of chairs. There are two pools and a hot tub for adults only. We were only here for a few days but it was very family friendly.

Great stay!

Posted Apr 13, 2015
I stayed there with my friend for 4 nights. From the start, the experience was wonderful! The staff is very friendly, the drinks were great and the food was delicious - especially the meats! The beach is wonderful, always open chairs to sunbathe in. I will definitely be coming back! Thank you for the wonderful time Flamingo!

Buen hotel, cómodo y accesible.

Posted Apr 13, 2015

Hotel is small. Nothing to do except of eating and

Pros: Beach, weather is grate.
Cons: Staff. Entertainment.
Location: There is a shopping mall across the street. No place for walking except the beach.
Good location, food is good. I lost all inclusive band, they charged $70, looks like they gave damaged one in purpose. Last day we left from hotel at 3am, and when we asked for boxed breakfast, they said pay 100 pesos per one despite all inclusive rate. Staff could be better. Room was Okay. Grate beach.

Quiet hotel

The bar TV- they wouldn't turn on the sound on tv- NCAA championship game on and no sound?! We asked they obliged! Really! Main con- no complimentary coffee! The wristband gave me a rash. We were barely on hotel grounds- going out on tours and exploring islands- but no coffee? Really! And no irons or coffee maker in regular double size room.

Nice basic hotel with convenient location

Beautiful beach and the staff was wonderful! Had a problem with our air conditioner one night and they fixed it immediately. Only wish was a bit more activities at the hotel as I was traveling with teenagers!

If you are not a "member", You will pay.

Posted Apr 8, 2015
Pros: We bought our tickets 6 mo.in advance, so we got a good price, we thought. You get what you pay for.The restaurant on the beach is great for breakfast
Cons: Treat the hotel guest better, or don't rent to them. Coffee pots in the room, Ice machines on the 3rd or 4th floor.
Location: Nothing is near by. All of the restaurants moved or went out of business. It is a 20 min. walk to go anywhere but the Outback, and Bubba Gump.
We didn't know they were a part of a time share. We got cheap rooms, very small, view of the noisy street. The tv barely worked, there wasn't an end piece on the cable, just a wire shoved into the tv. We didn't go to Cancun for the room. We went for the beach. There is no swimming in front of the Flamingo, there is an under tow. There is a fee to sit in the lounge chairs on the beach. We didn't know the 1st two days. So you can walk on the sand only there. After a busy day out we wanted to order a pizza delivered. We had a charge to use the phone for a local call. There are NO coffee pots, microwaves, alarm clocks, or fridges. If you are a member, your room will have these. They advertise 2 pools, but one is for members only, as is the work out room, the kids play area, and the massages. If you get the All inclusive you get pool rowels, food and booze. This is $65 american dollars per day, per person. If you don't drink, it will cost you about $70 per couple to eat out at restaurants. I stayed there 10 yrs. a go and it wasn't this bad. It is an old hotel, one of the oldest. The waiters, and maids were very nice. The time share person was nice too. We checked into it, $ 10,000 for 20 yrs plus yearly maintenance fees, and you can only use it 2 weeks a year. No thanks. You can tell who the all inclusive people are and who the "members" are by the bracelet color everyone had to wear. Those people didn't look any happier then us.

Nice hotel close to the beach

Posted Apr 8, 2015
Pros: The hotel staff were very friendly and kind. The bar and pool area were really good and the beds where comfortable.
Cons: Wifi situation. Clean the room earlier during the day. Better food in the buffé. More pool-towels.
Location: Good location right at the beach. The beach is beautiful. 15 minute walk into town. Great restaurant called Bubba Gump right next to the hotel.
Came here for Spring Break to relax and have a great time. We usually went to the beach everyday and lay down on the hotel's beach-chairs. We drank a lot of great drinks every night in the bar where the staff were wonderful. We slept good in the beds and the bathroom was fresh. The food was okay and they have a restaurant that you can eat for free at just next to the hotel, by the beach. I would recommend this hotel for couples, families and young people that want to have a good time.

Wouldn't come back to this hotel

Posted Mar 31, 2015
Pros: Beach and the buffet food was alright for breakfast & lunch (we didnt all inclusive though)
Cons: Customer service (keeping people happy), the furniture, fridge in rooms, let plp know what is happening, allow all inclusive days for 2days separately
Location: Mayan museum and can walk to some restaurants, we did the trips to Chichen itza (was amazing) &others, well worth the money...dont need to rent a car
Well we were meant fly on the 20th but because of snow in New York it was cancelled and had to fly on the 21st, but of course our hotel was booked (&paid for that night), I rang Expedia who contacted the hotel but they refused to possible give any refund or anything like it, even though it was not under our control - so we lost $200-350 or so, so we already were not that impressed. The biggest issue with the hotel is 'Customer service/satisfaction' is not their goal like other hotels. They offered to upgrade us to a Ocean view for like $250, we said no (was too much) then suddenly she dropped it to 150.00 (so never say yes first time). There is no fridge in the room, so cant keep drinks cold which is a pity. Room is ok, very average the drawers - opening and closing them was a total PAIN. Also the water the hotel just went out at like 6pm one evening, nobody told us ANYTHING, we had to go to front desk, the receptionist kept telling people different things (it will back in 15 mins, 2 hrs) also it was off for all hotels (but my bf checked other hotels and wasnt the case) they didnt provide any compensation like a bottle water or anything. in the end it was back at about 11pm. The beach is the best part of the hotel, it is very nice, we always got a chair and can get a massage just beside the beach! Wouldn't go back there, would pay little bit more & stay somewhere else.
