The entertainment staff at hotel is amazing. So fun and unique. Booking dinner reservations is a challenge but food options are a bit limited. Only 3 restaurants

Really great staff and location. Facilities were clean and the swim up bar is a wonderful convenience. The entertainment group was fantastic! Unfortunately the beds were rock hard and difficult to sleep in, and the food was very subpar. Overall great stay for the money!

*BED BUGS* in room 1335 at Royal Solaris Cancun! I stayed at the Royal Solaris from April 6-14, 2024. For the first couple days my partner and I did not notice too many bites, but towards the end of our trip I was getting more and more. I thought it may just be something in the sand at the beach or mosquitoes, but after we got home I inspected our bites more closely and was horrified to discover that these were bed bug bites. I have bites on my feet, ankles, legs, chest, hands, and lip! I am extremely uncomfortable. We will most likely need to throw out our luggage and we are currently trying to salvage our clothes by washing/drying them at the highest temperature. I reached out to the hotel to make them aware of the situation. It took them over 24hrs to respond. They do not believe that they have bed bugs, which is why I am forced to leave this review. In their email back, they said they had fumigated the room, which I highly doubt within this timeline. I am disappointed in the way this situation has been handled as my partner and I spend a decent amount of money at this resort and I feel that an apology and compensation should be provided. This does not appear to be the hotels current plan. I do feel bad for posting this, as the staff there were overall good friendly people and I don't want this to reflect poorly on them. The resort was nice and the food was okay but current and future guests need to be warned about this situation as it is a health issue.

However, we are surprised by the topic of this publication;first, because unfortunately we did not have any reports during your 8 days of stay and for the last 3 days you had a black card so our housekeeping staff could not carry out the necessary cleaning of your room. Let me inform you that the hotel has very strict cleaning standards as well as a recurring fumigation program in order to offer safety and hygiene to all our travelers, since the issue of bedbugs is a global situation. Likewise, let us remember you that Cancun is a tropical jungle destination so the fauna is diverse, so bites and/or allergies can be very common when our guests are on tours. That is why our daily cleaning standards are very strict, precisely to prevent our facilities from presenting any inconvenience.Regards!

Kudos to the hard working staff! They are respectful and helpful and so kind. The property has changed quite a bit in 7 years. A bit run down. The front desk people speak little to no English so it was difficult at times to get the point across. Overall, the food service, pool workers, bar workers and room cleaners were the most helpful. The food got to be very mundane after 7 days. But the fresh fruit was great.

It was great. Staff was very accommodating. I would recommend that a live band can be added on a Friday night or over the weekend. It got a bit boring on the resort with nothing to do if you didn’t want to attend a show.

I loved this resort and the service was impeccable! Bring extra cash for tipping because they deserve it. Drinks and food weren’t first class but were still very good for an all inclusive. There was a buffet style restaurant is what I enjoyed the most of the time. It was the most convenient. I didn’t try the restaurants because you have to make a reservation at least a day in advance which you have to get the QR code from downstairs. I recommend saving that to your home screen while on the resort, for quick access. There is also a stone fired pizza station outside as well as some quick bites (nachos, fries, chicken nuggets etc) by the pool). The facilities were well maintained and I was upgraded to a king ocean view room, which was amazing! The beach is literally right there as you step off the property. There is a bus station right in front of the resort which made for easy access to the city, and it’s only $1 (USD). My ONLY complaint were the room key cards. If you put it close to your phone or your credit card, the card deactivated and then you had to wait in line, if there was one, to get it reactivated. This happened to me 3 times. Where else do you put it except your bag or wallet with credit cards or your phone? Check in wasn’t too bad a little bit of a line but this is expected. I felt very safe and comfortable traveling alone as a single woman. Great stay!

The property is old, check out staff isn’t friendly, very disappointed with the check out process. We did turn in all the keys but the checkout staff made all of us had to be at the desk to get the bracelet back when my mother needs to use the restroom. They afraid that she continues using the property or what?

Overall our trip was lovely! Dinner at Marco Polo was delicious! Dinner at the Asian restaurant was underwhelming. Daily buffet was good with many options. Drinks and atmosphere were also very good. My only complaint is that the walls are very thin. We could hear every person walking/talking in the hallways.

We had a wonderful time here, it’s close to the airport and had lots to do on the property. You can also take a shuttle to their other property to go out on kayaks. Food was great and all the staff were awesome. We would go back.

Overall this is a great hotel with good amenities and entertainment. The spa is very good. They immediately upgraded us with no fee when we arrived. The room service is not free, they have a $5 surchage and so there is no free food after 10pm. This hotel has one of the best entertainment and performers are top quality. However their pool bar staff is probably the worst I have seen in my life of traveling to . Often times we felt that staff walked past us to attend to our white counterparts. Whenever we asked for a drink, we didnt receive the same type of service that other white counterparts did. This happened in several occasions. Overall the hotel is good for the price, but if you are a “minority” you will not recieve the same type of service from the pool staff. It is shameful and should be remedied. Otherwise, I would not recommend that you visit here.

A group of us stayed at this resort for almost a week. Hotel next door was being demolished but we never noticed any noise it was just kind of an eye sore. Beach was nice and sandy just kind of small. This has been our first time staying in the Cancun hotel zone and it was a great experience overall. Staff were kind and friendly. Food was great we all found food that we liked and lots to choose from. The restaurant Zai was out of this world. Overall a great experience. A great hotel if you want to go downtown and see the nightlife or isle mujeres or to even hang out at the resort and meet new people. It’s a smaller resort compared to ones in maya riveria however it had charm. I would recommend GR Solaris if you’re looking for something in the Cancun hotel zone

The mini bar didn’t work and to begin with there was only 1 Pepsi and 2 beers in it I drank 1 Pepsi the 2 beers remained it for for the next 5 days … the people who took the order for room service were terrible!!!!! All the food at the hotel is terrible they say that we can use the marina which is about 1/4 walk from the hotel to get there for them to tell you yes it’s included in your stay you must leave a tip to use the stuff ( kayaking… paddle boats and a small motor boat ) however all they were allowing out was 2 kayaks… the shower didn’t have the lotions… shampoo or body wash filled ( I forgot that bag at home ) the entertainment team was AMAZINGLY great !!! Highly recommended they were so nice and definitely made the stay worth it
