Traveled with another couple for a weeks vacation. Enjoyed the oceanfront rooms we were promised and were amazed at the beautiful white sand beach. Would definitely stay here again.

ParadisePosted Mar 1, 2015
GR Solaris was amazing. My wife and I absolutely loved it. It was like being in paradise. The resort wasn't overly huge. It took know time at all to get around the resort and to the beach. The minute we landed everyone is so hospitable. The one thing we didn't care about was the pressure sells from people at the airport and the hotel to get you to buy in to listening to a 90 minute session on buying in to a time share. if not interested you have to be strong and say know and walk away or change the subject which is so tough. Other than that everything was exceptional at the resort. If you do come to cancun, tip the people providing you service. I brought about $40 in one's and i was glad I did. You tip the bartender, waitress, concierge and to ride the bus cost a dollar each. Great resort!

Family FunPosted Mar 1, 2015
Stayed for 7 nights with family and friends. Weather was great, staff was awesome especially Salazar and David. They remembered names and drinks and took care of us like family. Food was good but buffet could have used a little more variety. Would go back.

Another awesome vacation!!Posted Mar 1, 2015
Pros: Staff was awesome!! The resort is smaller than other resorts which makes it easier to get around and get familiar with where everything is located.
Cons: Softer beds
Location: Great location, although this time we never left the resort once. The resort is AWESOME!!
We were there last year about this same time and met some great staff. All too many to remember....Obila, Sandy, Nunez, Jona, Joey, Rafaell, Luis, and most of all Mayky. We love him so much. Such a great, caring, good hearted guy!!!....alot of great people. We had a group of 10 with us from Saturday to Saturday and we would alway greet the entertainment staff by their names when they arrived for the day...Sandy came over to us sat down by the pool and had a great conversation with all of us. She is very nice and caring and we enjoyed seeing her again too. Rafaell took very good care of us as well. We wanted a king size bed and a room upgrade but was unable to get them. After a couple days they were able to scoot our beds together and they added an extra pad on top. That helped with the comfort because the bed was a little hard and my husbands back was a little cranky for a couple days. Pool side food was always good in the afternoon. We also made reservations 2 different nights at Marco Polo. Both nights were awesome and everyone should go there at least once while you are there:) Overall, would we go back??? Absolutely!!! My husband loves it there!!! We had 3 couples that came with us that was their 1st time and they had an absolute blast!!

Second stay was just as good as the first!Posted Mar 1, 2015
Pros: All-Inclusive. Staff.
Cons: Adding wifi to the all-inclusive package as it is more and more necessary now a days. Less timeshare pressure. No, means no.
Location: Isla Mujeres. Market 28.
We chose GR Solaris to stay at again (9 years later) because they have the best all-inclusive package around. The only thing that is not included is wifi. Something we didn't even think to check on prior to our visit since it's usually included at most hotels. I felt like it was pretty pricey for a full 24 hours of use ($16USD unlimted) but it is what it is. If you're members, the wifi is included, but that's a whole different show. We met several couples that we had a great time with and look forward to going back again.

Good, but a get away. Not a 4.3 luxury hotel. Also not all inclusive sine we were not part of the members group.

Great hotel with wonderful beachPosted Feb 28, 2015
Pros: We loved the proximity of everything, the friendliness of the staff and the comfort of the bed.
Cons: We did not like having to pay for internet service. It should have been included for at least one device.
Location: The hotel is on a great span of beach. There are jet ski and parasailing for a fee; walk down to the Marina for free kayaking or take the bus downtown
Only 15 minutes from the airport, this all inclusive has a great beach and multi pool area. It is a nicely sized facility where everything on the property is close. The staff is very nice. We had booked a king ocean view and when we checked in we were upgraded to a deluxe king ocean view with a terrace that included a Jacuzzi and lounge chairs for our anniversary. There was never a problem getting a lounge chair on the beach and there was plenty of shaded area. We have been to two of the bigger resorts in Cancun where we had to get up early to get a chair at the beach, which was a hike. This was much more relaxed. The food was good for Cancun- we liked that you could choose from a couple different buffets each day or fine dine at Marco Polo, which has a different menu each night. There were many activities by the pool; nothing on the beach other than volleyball; fine with us- we were there to relax. There was a nightly show and live music in the lobby bar every night.

Excellent VacationPosted Feb 28, 2015
Pros: The staff, the rooms, the food, the beach and the pool.
Cons: The internet service was terrible - especially for something we pay for.
We stayed at GR Solaris. The staff was very attentive. We had David at a server at the Rosmarius a couple nights. He really went all out to make sure we had a great time. The entertainment staff was fun. They could get rid of the karoke in the lobby bar. It was terrible. The band was good and a much better choice.
